i was just wandering.... was it just me or was everyone thinking about it..... ive been in a few congs where some of the sisters were absolutely drop dead gorgeous!

my last cong here in sydney, there was about 160 publishers so the talent was every where... i remember having the hots for this sister, who happens to be the wife of the service overseer... she was xxx hot.

i remember always having to wear my suit coat to the meeting to hide my excitement.. i think all the bro's must have thought the same thing.

Quite a few in my hall.

Brothers would come from all over the circuit to our hall on Sundays just to meet the hottie sisters in my hall.

They were like sisters to me so outside of a little fooling around here and there, I pretty much ventured out of my hall for talent.

I ended up marrying a sister from another hall who was considered pretty hot there.

Too bad the marriage sucked.

JDubs at the mall and other inventive ways to put in "time"

has anyone else seen the jdubs at the shopping mall ??

they sit at a table with all of their wares displayed hoping to lure people away from pottery barn and macy's.

i did a double take when i saw this and then had to stand back and observe for about 20 minutes -- what i observed is that no one stops at the table except what appear to be fellow jdubs.

There are some dubs who actually sit on the window structure at Penn Station in Newark NJ.

No one ever talks to them, people are commuting to work and just aren't interested.

It doesn't seem to bother the dubs, they seem too deeply in conversation with each other to notice.

In todays Daily News, there is an acticle that states that the Police Commisioner of NY is going to rid Grand Central of beggars.

I hope this includes the begging dubs a well.

last night i watched "the secret of vera drake.

" what an example of man's inhumnaity to man, but even more so, women's inhumanity to women.

Vera Drake is a movie made I think last year, that focused on illegal abortions performed in England or Ireland? in the 1940's.

It was very good, and sad at the same time.

It also showed how those with wealth seems to be beyond the law, whereas the poor suffer.

What books are JW's studying in Book-Study and what will they next use?

a j'w friend of mine told me that jw's are studying the "pay attention to daniel's prophecies" book again.

isn't this the 4th time they have studied this book since it first came out in 1999?

why all of the fuss over this daniel book?

Was there an older version of the Daniel book that was studied back in the 70's - 80's?

I think it was light green in color.

Did You Ever Fink On A Fellow JW?

did you ever go to the elders and tell on a fellow witness for either something considered major or even frivolous?

As a teenager, I was hauled into the library by 3 elders who questioned me about the rumored loose conduct on a ski trip I attended with many other dubs.

I did not rat anyone out, but I refused to confirm an alibi that one of my friends had given. He said he was hanging out with me, but he was really getting busy with his girlfriend.

Long story short, he was dfed and the girl was publicly reproved. Believe it or not I was not sorry or remorseful at all about not lying to protect my friend. I thought I had done the right thing.

It was truly a misguided mistake on my part and after leaving the "troof" I felt deeply saddened by it.

What a surprise it was to me that this guy was one of the first people to befriend me when I got dfed and he is still a very close friend.

He actually thanked me for being honest, it basically led to his freedom.

Even with that said, if I could do it all over again, I would not rat him out.

Self Abuse

something occurred to me while i was reading the promiscuous sex thread.

the wt always refers to masturbation as self abuse.

i googled it and came up with many sites that linked it to cutting oneself, but only a couple that linked those words to masturbation, one being a site about sda prophetess ellen white, and the other some religious site.. of course if you type in self pleasure then you get the masturbation links.

This tread made me laugh, because my unbelieving dad questioned my on self abuse once when he saw me with the Awake article that had that title.

He had no idea that the dubs called j#%king off self abuse.

Wasn't there a Surgeon General who endorsed mastubation that was severely reprimanded? I believe her name was Jocelyn Elders.

Did you ever go out in Field Service on Thanksgiving or Christmas morning

i never had a problem with going door to door except for the holidays.. one, i felt like we were intruding on our neighbors who set aside time be with their loved ones.. two, it just made me feel more different and jealous that i was not celebrating the holidays with my family.. any thoughts?
