Yes Frankie, in that context love will stretch you, force you to evolve with the whole. From an egoic perspective it is quite uncomfortable, but if there isn't that identification then you learn to enjoy it. Sometimes people hear about these moments when someone opens up and it makes a great story, but I think the real question is after all the drama is over does that person stay opened or was that more of a temporary phenomenon in this particular act. You may not necessarily feel that stretch constantly, but there would be a big difference in terms of one's general disposition being open or being like "it's a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there."

Our Species Is Evolveing Consciousness For Its Survival,,Our Minds Will Exp
by frankiespeakin inour species is evolveing consciousness for its survival,,our minds will expand to greater understandings because our spiecies is driven by evolutionary forces to love it when we understand things.. this drive is more powerful than sex.
and i really beleive our species will survive and we will use modern technology(also a product of evolution) to help us because that is what it is there for we made it and we will use it.
we are driven to learn and i think we will even tame the ego, to keep learning more and more.

Well Frankie the way you phrase it it almost implies evolving consciously rather than consciousness evolving. Consciousness can certainly evolve without it happening consciously, (obviously I mean something much more open than say choosing which books you read) but the idea of being able to direct where and how you want it to evolve is quite different.
I would say the mind can expand, but being free of mind is something different. And of course the real trick is for that freedom to be bi-directional, to be free from mind and to be free to use mind at the same time. Sometimes people are really gifted in a particular aspect of mind, or a particular way of using the mind, but it may be neither conscious nor free when you look at it in a larger context. And this does get into the question of depth, because of course there is no need to just hang out at the level where the majority on the planet are at. And this isn't to imply some "I'm better than you" idea, but when you are in the same state then you are just as trapped as everybody else is, and that's not really going to help anybody anyway.

Heads-up on two sure-cures for colds, flu, viruses, etc.
by Frannie Banannie ini've seen so many of yall suffering with colds, flu, viruses, etc.....well....either yall or yall's family members.
and it's kinda frustrating to sit back, knowing what i know and have experienced as cures for me and my family members, so that we don't get sick from these things anymore.
it isn't ethical to advise yall to use these treatments, so i'll just let yall know what has worked for us and let yall use your own judgment on whether to try these methods.

As someone who works at a supplement retailer, there are two kind of people that I have little patience for: Those who want you to tell them what to do and those who are not open to input at all, automatically assuming it's all about money. Both of these reflect a person who does not take responsibility for their own health by doing research for themselves, being completely absorbed by their view of the industry. My job is to provide general information. If I was a scientist, I wouldn't be working at the store. It really doesn't matter to me what people do, and I don't work on commission or anything like that.
All I can say is going to either extreme in a position of for or against supplements reflects an ignorance which may influence your health. In a way it is like toxicity and deficiency of certain nutrients. You can be so into supplements that you overdose, both in what you take and your view of them, or you can have an attitude of complete avoidance and end up with a deficiency, both nutritionally and in your knowledge of them. These days I keep it pretty simple. I'm less interested in talking about it than I am in practical application, both for myself and others. At work it basically comes down to whether people are willing to give the product a try. I provide whatever information I can for people, I just want them to make their own decision either way and get out of the store so we can both get on with what we need to do.

Hey Dark, another MT chiming in here, although I am not currently practicing either. I will say a big part of the education is becoming aware of your own body, though. Whatever happens as far as career goes, this is something that is far more valuable. Some therapists get busy working and forget to work on themselves, not only as far as maintenance work is concerned but also just getting healthy in the first place. Ultimately your capacity to help others is limited by your health issues anyway, so by all means see what massage and bodywork can do for you.
I came across the following story by Tagore a couple of days ago and it just got me to think about how spirituality is often such a mental thing, and the body is neglected. We see threads like the one about JW and physical health problems, and I think it really shows how much separation there is and the need to bring it back together. Anyway this says it nicely:
In the depths of the forest the ascetic practiced penance with fast-
closed eyes; he intended to deserve paradise.
But the girl who gathered twigs brought him fruits in her skirt, and
water from the stream in cups made of leaves.
The days went on, and his penance grew harsher till the fruits
remained untasted, the water untouched: and the girl who gathered
twigs was sad.
The Lord of Paradise heard that a man had dared to aspire to be as
the Gods...and he planned a temptation to decoy this creature of dust
away from his adventure.
A breath from paradise kissed the limbs of the girl who gathered
twigs, and her youth ached with a sudden rapture of beauty, and her
thoughts hummed like the bees of a rifled hive.
The time came when the ascetic should leave the forest for a mountain
cave, to complete the rigor of his penance.
When he opened his eyes in order to start on this journey, the girl
appeared to him like a verse familiar, yet forgotten, and which an
added melody made strange. But the ascetic rose from his seat and
told her that it was time he left the forest.
...For years he sat alone till his penance was complete.
The Lord of the Immortals came down to tell him that he had won
Paradise.
"I no longer need it," said he.
The God asked him what greater reward he desired.
"I want the girl who gathers twigs." -

Does What You Believe In REALLY Matter All That Much???
by minimus inwhether you are a witness or a muslim, a believer in democracy or theocracy, a liberal or a conservative-----does it ultimately matter??
?

Probably the one belief that matters most is that you are your beliefs. If you think of yourself as a believer of JWs (perhaps one that is only studying) rather than simply being a JW, that is very different. When you identify with those beliefs it becomes a rigid structure, and you will try to preserve that identity rather than simply viewing them as beliefs. But if you just view it as things you believe in, you are open to revisions and will not hang on to it so tightly.

So there was a 3.9 in Geyserville like 7 minutes later, but even if I was at work in Santa Rosa I wouldn't have felt it..
This isn't really the thread for it, but I don't think the whole describe your own personality is as telling as some of the little things.. When I heard about the tsunami warning in the news I was thinking "Calgon take me away!"
