i would like to know how many people here are thinking of going back to the hall if the elders go and visit them.
we had stories of people telling the elders that they had enough and wanted to get out.
on the other hand, i am sure a few will go back, but we will not hear their stories as much because they fear the reaction of this board.
I have attended a few meetings disguised as an "interested person" just to have fun and ask embarrassing questions. But I would never return to the lie.
Sincerely,
Athanasius
for those who may have voted for our idiot governor in california, he just announced today (after re-election of course) that ooops!!
our state budget is 38 billion more in the hole than we thought.. like he didn't know this before.
and, now he will try to raise taxes to make up for this.. to put this in perspective, that deficit is larger than all other states total budget, except for new york.. and we got four more years of this?
Don't blame me, I voted for Simon.
what would your life be like if the entire watchtower organization never was.
It is hard to say what life would be like had the WTBS never existed. Probably would have stayed in college and got my degree when I was in my 20s. But then again I might have ended up in Arlington with several of my classmates.

ok, big tex...fess up.
you've been sitting there on 1,000 posts all day...waiting, just waiting!.
congratulations, dude!.
Congratulations.
i am pleased to report that there is!
i just got off the phone with a jw family member who is sending me a christmas present!.
they (i am keeping their gender a secret to protect their identity) didn't go so far as to wish me a merry christmas but they did tell me that they are mailing it tomorrow and that they hope that i get it in time for christmas.
That is great news, Robyn. It won't be long and you will all be celebrating Christmas together. That is what happened in my family. Christmas becomes very special to us because of all the Christmas days we missed while in the Watch Tower. Merry Christmas Robyn.

do you feel as if children in the watchtower organization get baptized too early in age?
when you think that in most places, you have to be at least 18 years old to vote, go in a bar, or have a drivers licence.
being told that it was the most important day of our life, wouldn't it be reasonable to wait to be at least 18 years old before getting baptized.
Though some churches baptise you as an infant they also don't have the harsh DF policy as does the Watch Tower. Like Mulan, I was baptized at the age of nine and didn't really know what I was doing. Just got dunked to please my mother. However, I don't think it is safe to be baptised as a JW at any age.
Sincerely,
Athanasius
most of the people that i know of that got married in a kingdom hall never admitted to "loose conduct" or "fornication" until sometime after their consciences bothered them.
some never had a conscience issue , but they did tell their friends , who, in turn, told others that they really weren't "qualified" to get married in the hall.
do you think that most jw couples "fool around" before they get married?
Probably.
some of you are here on this forum since many months or even years.
you must have seen so many people here, and maybe lost a few friends that don't post here anymore.
who are the people that you miss the most that don't post enough or don't post anymore?
Another vote for Maximus.
there are so many colas on the market, but 2 of them stick out.
coke and pepsi.
i love coke and hate pepsi.
Gave cola up a long time ago. Switched to Ace Hard Cider.
