When You Hear Someone Say "The Truth"...
by minimus inwhen a witness talks about a person not being "in the truth", does that get to you?
or if they self-righteously proclaim that "at least, they're in the truth and not worldly", does that push any buttons?

Hi Minimus,
I never liked to use the term "in the truth" even when I was an elder. I always thought that it hypocritical to say we had "the truth" when the KGB was always coming up with new understandings of what JWs were supposed to believe. Therefore, it doesn't bother me when JWs say they are "in the truth" when they believe the lie.

That part about Chuck Russell being a child molester is incorrect. Rose Ball was in her late teens when she first came to live with the Russells. So Chuck wasn't innocently bouncing a little girl on his knee as his supporters claim, rather he had a 20 year old woman sitting on his lap. Mrs. Russell wasn't pleased.

YOUR BEST DRUNK STORY
by Mary inwhat's the worse thing you ever did while drunk (assuming we've all been drunk).........when i was 16, we all got blitzed out of our minds at a witness wedding that happened to take place on hallowe'en.
anyway, on our way home we thought it'd be funny to whip eggs at passing cars.
unfortunately, the first (and last) car i hit was a cruiser.......i realized this as the egg was in mid-air.
