Let the WTS keep denying.
Let them show off their cult to the world.
don't laugh, now!
i was watching 'quincy' this afternoon, and the episode was about the denial of the holocaust.
what the person denying that the horrific holocaust actually took place was saying was that the evidence was fabricated, written evidence made up, and pictures were also concocted to appear that the atrocities had taken place.. well, it just reminded me, as many things do these days, of the wtbts stance on apostates and the internet.
Let the WTS keep denying.
Let them show off their cult to the world.
here is a very insightful article from ken ham....at the end is my own testimony in capsule form.
when the person you talk to on creation insists that you leave the bible out of it, they are really saying the deck should be stacked one way.
(my note: you've heard it this way, "religion does not speak on science at all.
If there is no God, ultimately, philosophically, how can one talk about reality? How can one even rationally believe that there is such a thing as truth, let alone decide what it is?
Welcome to elementary philosophy.
There is nothing wrong with shedding our presuppositions. In fact there is no better way to really discover our existance.
Ham seems obessesed with this concept of presupposition, to the extent that it becomes a rationale for his own preconceptions and prejudice for anyone who isn't a fundamental Christian. He betrays all in this statement:
A non-Christian is not neutral. The Bible makes this very clear: ‘The one who is not with Me is against Me, and the one who does not gather with Me scatters’ (Matthew 12:30)
A glaring generalization backed up by the...Bible?
Now I happen to be an agnostic. My primary directive is not to assume, not to presuppose. I also am a "non-Christian".
This makes me 'non-neutral' to a Christain, only because the Christain is polarized, not me.
Sure there are biased scientists on both sides of this issue. But the principle below stands on bedrock and keeps Christains and other fundies warm in their cloaks of presupposition:
Religion assumes something and tries to prove it.
Science assumes nothing and tries to disprove it.

The Church has been defending itself ever since the beginning when the Jews tried to claim that the body of Christ has been stolen, despite the stone sealed and guarded by soldiers who were under the penalty of death.
Oh, I forgot about that one...you've convinced me.
this is a whole different level to gillingham, big international rugby stadium, searching of bags.
i heard we're not even allowed in without a lapel-badge, so i'd better write my name on mine this time... don't think i'll be taking notes this time... .

People are already streaming to Jehovah's temple
The number of anointed ones is dwindling.
Yeah, I don't think so.
2% increase worldwide from 2004 to 2003 (you call that "streaming"?)
8570 partakers in 2004, 5 more than the previous year!

Hey thanks for making the protest cheques international!
If anyone else wants to join in, the checks are now available on this site: http://www.dannyhaszard.com/checksforWT.htm
Loved your experience, the whole thing seems as rediculous and out-of-touch as the DC I went to.
apologies for non-jws & non-christians, but this is a quiz for my newly baptised jw friends.
any jw guinea pigs willing to try it out before i hand it over?
the bible alone (ideally the nwt) should be used to test your answers.
umm, Jesus?
we had some of the cong go all the way to california to attend the same assembly that they knew michael jackson would attend!
when i made a comment about how they were going just to get a glimpse of him.
that was not received too well.
the congregation just about erupted into a shouting match for a few minutes before the brother at the mike got everything back under control.
I would have paid serious money for this experience.
when your 26 yr old son calls mom to tell him his microwave must be broke because it is arcing waves back and forth ,and the mom says " son what was in the microwave when this happened ?

‘Then how do you know you’re really here making this statement?’ ‘Good point,’ he replied. ‘What point?’ I asked. The man looked at me, smiled, and said, ‘Maybe I should go home.’ I stated, ‘Maybe it won’t be there.’ ‘Good point,’ the man said. ‘What point?’ I replied.
How smug is this Ham?
They [Christains] have a book called the Bible which claims to be the Word of God who has always been there, and has revealed to us the major events of the past about which we need to know.
On the basis of these events (Creation, Fall, Flood, Babel, etc.), we have a set of presuppositions to build a way of thinking which enables us to interpret the evidence of the present.
Funny that the Bible itself is just a BIG stack of presuppositions. I don't know what the "Atheist Bible" is but "The Atheist's Book of Bible Stories" is a good place to start.
Posted in segments beginning here: The Atheist's Book of Bible Stories - Ch. 1 - In the Beginning
The writer didn't even have to touch evolution or science to make the point that the Bible (especially the OT) is just Jewish myth.
So what happens when the Christian's presupposition, the Bible, evaporates? Now that's a 'point' to ponder.
the garden of eden .
1. god created the world and two people named adam and eve, with whom he intended to populate the world.
3. adam and eve were imprisoned in the devil's garden called "eden.
Makes perfect sense to me!
Doesn't it seem odd that the Devil has been so successful turning both humans and angels from God?
At anytime in Bible history until now, the true believer are only an minute part of the population.
Maybe its the other way round -- or perhaps "God" and the "Devil" are in cahoots?
