21. The content of the CD-ROMs is not readily available to the general public. Some of the content is intended only for Jehovah’s Witnesses...What a bogus line.
Actually, the publications are for JWs only are not included on the CD-ROM:
I've never seen JW's hiding their Kingdom Ministries or Insight volumes from the public.
in case you missed it, i had a jw and her mother call on me last week of july.
(see anti-witnessesing: passive agressive style effective for quotes).
well, this afternoon dana came back, this time not with her mother (maria) by with another woman named joyce-lynne.
Official word from the WTS:
*** si p. 302 Study Number 4—The Bible and Its Canon ***
The Roman Catholic Church claims responsibility for the decision as to which books should be included in the Bible canon, and reference is made to the Council of Carthage (397 C.E.), where a catalog of books was formulated. The opposite is true, however, because the canon, including the list of books making up the Christian Greek Scriptures, was already settled by then, that is, not by the decree of any council, but by the direction of God’s holy spirit—the same spirit that inspired the writing of those books in the first place. The testimony of later noninspired catalogers is valuable only as an acknowledgment of the Bible canon, which God’s spirit had authorized.

so i was doing my paper route today and i was admiring all the different colored glazing balls that people have in their yards.
i like gazing balls and i plan to get one for my yard.
but i wonder, what is the point of a gazing ball?
jw's have no balls nor are they allowed to.
Slight correction, JWs are not allowed to modify or use their balls, in fact they must ignor them.
Many persons have used wind chimes to give a pleasant musical aspect to the home. When the wind blows, the glass, metal or wooden pieces hit against one another to produce the sound. However, it is the custom in some countries to put up wind chimes with the thought that they will keep evil spirits from entering the home. Obviously, a Christian would not make use of wind chimes for such a purpose. So if there is such a superstitious belief in one’s country, or community, it would not be wise to have a wind chime in the home. Thus no one will be stumbled or given the impression that Jehovah’s Witnesses make use of wind chimes for some unscriptural purpose.—1 Cor. 10:31-33.
However, if one’s motive in putting up a wind chime has nothing to do with false religion, superstition or demonism, and there is little possibility of others’ getting the wrong impression regarding its use in the home, it is a simple matter for personal decision.

w99 6/15 p. 28 Questions From Readers ***Since sterilization procedures are now said to be reversible on request, might a Christian view them as a birth-control option?
But Christians who are not facing such an unusual and distinct risk would certainly want to use ‘soundness of mind’ and shape their thinking and deeds by God’s esteem for reproductive potential. (1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:8; 2:2, 5-8) This would reflect mature sensitivity to Scriptural indications. Yet, what if it became publicly known that a Christian blithely disregarded God’s evaluations? Would not others doubt whether he (or, she) was a good example, having a reputation of making decisions in harmony with the Bible? Such a disturbing blemish on one’s reputation could, of course, affect a minister’s being qualified for special privileges of service, though that might not be so if one had in ignorance had this procedure performed.—1 Timothy 3:7.revised statementhere's the sound byte.

Please share your congregation's reaction to this.
Did anyone come up to you after the meeting?
Have the elders offered a shepherding call? Better yet, you could ask for one...
This is just too rich!
according to the son of my newly baptised jw friends, they re-decorating their house for a visit and 'inspection' by the circuit overseer.
can anyone explain what the circuit overseer's visit is all about?
does he or she normally visit the homes of people in the congregation?
There is no formal "inspection" of homes that I know of.
i have not, nor will go back to "meetings" after finding out how i was spiritually mislead through the years.i have actually found more comfort in doing my own studying.
my wife still goes occassionaly and her sister and brother-in-law just started going back.
so we went over there house the other night and we got into a conversation in which he said they went to the meeting today (sunday).
Here is an angle for you...
Out of the 41 Kings of Isreal and Judah, 35 were apostate.
That's over 85% of the appointed rulers of "God's Organisation" at that time!
Does that mean we are to follow apostate leadership if it is part of the "organisation"?
what is the government's plan here?
is this a convenient way to remove several thousand undesirables from the welfare rolls?
i watch what is going on at the superdome and the convention center, and it looks like some backwater african nation you see on sunday morning on a feed the children special.

I think the Nazi reference is inappropriate, but this lack of support is bordering on passive-aggressive behavior.
