His teachings were not original, but surprisingly Buddhist (5 centuries old by the time of Jesus). Even his manner of teaching was Buddhist (using illustrations, metaphors).
His mission was to release his fellow Jews from their culture, the Law, oppressive traditions.
He knew his scriptures, and capitalized on them to gain traction with his Jewish followers.
He had no respect for Jewish law or tradition, he openly violated these "laws of men".
And in the strangest twist of irony, Jesus caused such a stir that, 2,000 years later, Christains still hold Old Testament writings and the Isrealite nation sacred, thus preserving and exposing the world to Jews.

to this day when he goes swimming without his shirt there is inevitably the dumbass person who stares at the scars on his chest and arms....points and whispers to their friends so they all turn and look...shallow insensitive people with nothing better to do than sit in judgement on another person due to their appearance.
When I was a young teen I had a "mentor" who was the most beautiful woman. She happened to be a JW pioneer and took me under her wing. She was in her 60's, but had the fierce energy of a teenager. Her words and expressions made me want to know more about life. Her eyes were bright and her laugh was a magnet.
One day I looked at her, with "hard eyes", and for the first time actually saw her skin. She had that severly sun-withered deep wrinkled skin. She was old, and grey, even feeble. When I saw her like that I was horrified. Because, like a shape-shifter, she could transform instantly into the woman I "knew", the exciting attractive one.
That was the greatest lesson I learned from her, that inner beauty can actually blind others. Funny, she eventually went "apostate." Can't hold a good woman down.
The next time you see a deformed/ugly/disabled/retarded person look into their eyes and acknowledge them. There is a beautiful person there.

i really can understand the meaning of hate now........ i truley hate what the cult of the watchtower has done to me and my family.... my son was diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 20,,,,(his uncle on his dads side also had the disease around that time ))) as some of you know he ended up in jail and a prison term because of things he did while in his schizophrenic state....all the while he was disassociated from the witnesses ,,,so he received no help from the loving elder body ( of vipers)....even when he was in jail,, an elder came to study with the lost ones... and because he knew of my sons situation would not allow him to comment at the prison study.....
but he goes faithfully and sits by himself in his tattered clothes in the back....as we all know the drill....some how he gets back in.... i am devastated..as i have 3 children who never will go back because of their sadistic ,, annointed father and stepfather......who molested his own daughter.....( another horrible story)l its hard for me to write ,,, i hope you will put up with me ,, those of you who know me and even those who dont...this is my therapy... i must write it out....well as it goes he is not welcomed back.. its all for show,,,he cant stop smoking....and so he goes off his meds and is living in the streets...with no help or support from the brothers ,,,a term i use very loosely....he missed the district convention,, because no one could find him and then ......they find him to corner him like a rat (knowing fullwell of his mental condition ) and they disfellowship him......the anger and rage that i feel...is uncontrollable at times......i hate ,, i hate ,,,, i hate so much of what they did to me and sooo many other ss ......forgive me ....this freaking cult needs to be destroyed... once and for all,,, and i will not rest until i rescue my last child from its grip.......( i have one daughter whos 18 that is still in)))) i am cryingso hard now its hard to type,,thank you for hearing my story,,, its just a very small part of what me and my family have been thru ...thanks for listening and peace to you my dear friends...

" the speaker had studied his watchtowers well, and provided an unattributed quote (possibly from october 1, 2002 wt) as proof that christendom's churches don't have the answer:i have been asked hundreds of times in my life why god allows tragedy and suffering.
i have to confess that i really do not know the answer totally, even to my own satisfaction.
What if correct knowledge WAS INSTINCTUAL? What if there was no false information that could mislead you? Would you prefer taking your chances without the right answers? Is a hit and miss strategy really better?

Ok then, animals are superior to humans. Does anyone judge animals wicked or murderous?. There are no animal religions or governments are there? Animals do not destroy their environment to their own detriment. Why? Because they operate according to program (instinct).
So if God created humans and angels with a capacity for evil, why is God so surprised that someone (in fact most) choose "evil"? If an MIT professor made a robot that could choose to do good or evil, and that robot decided to start killing people, who would be responsible for the murders? The professor.

Second, "revising" out a date and replacing "in our day" is not a minor change. This is part of the pattern that seeks to hide embarrasing written statements (like the entire first 75 years of the WBTS publications).

To get this thread back on track: I would like to point out that the FDS depends onexactly this kind of acceptance from the R&F to continue their face-saving deceptions. Only then can they have the currency to then blame their lost sheep for getting disappointed.
