  although i like to keep the afterlife unknown..... what do you think the first thing out of a jw's mouth would be when they discover they went to heaven (or hell) instead of paradise erf?

  have you noticed how often witnesses will define a word in a comment or talk, and then extrapolate incredible conclusions from the definiton?

  i always found this amusing.

  sister smart will raise her hand and say something like, i think that it is very interesting that the society has used the phrase "relegate our service to a second place.

  IMO the most annoying comment is when a JW gives a long dissertation on a stupid word that everyone already knows.

  in preparing for this custody battle and ensure the safety of my children, i have been researching and putting together a strong case with evidence of harm caused to the children by the religion.

  if sufficient evidence is presented, the judge will more than likely rule that mom is not to discuss any religion whatsoever with the children as long as they minors living in my home.

  i have much evidence of abuse which includes a recording i made of mother using coersive tactics to get our 13 year old to go the meetings.

  At first glance I would say that Sara is a manipulator (independant of JWs). But I have heard this same manipulation from so many JW parents in different forms. I vouch for you.

  Since ?JW logic? doesn?t work on JW kids, parents inevitably move to this kind of manipulation to keep their children at meetings.

  By refusing to go to the Memorial, Elisabeth made an indelible mark. The big no-no to JWs. Look for Sara to ?write Elisabeth off? with a temporary pseudo DF-ing to test if see can guilt her daughter to return.

  It may aggravate you to see this going on, but count on your daughters' intelligence. All you have to do is provide them with an emotionally secure place - something they are desperately missing with mom.

  The most plain expose of JW cult tactics is demonstrated when JW parents deal in the same way with their children.

  Picketing is Fun!!!!

  for those of you who are unaware, i have been picketing local kingdom halls here for the past 6 weeks, and i have really been enjoying it.

  i have been standing on the side of the road in front of the halls on sunday afternoons between noon and 1pm holding a couple of different signs given to me by undaunted danny.. i have been very polite and friendly to the passerby's and havent yelled or harrassed people contrary to the popular misconception of the "evil apostates.

  " the looks on some of the witnesses faces has truly been priceless.

  And, please, please, please, say you put web site addresses on your placards - especially for your JW Kingdom Hall traffic.

  My mom smuggled a NWT into my house!

  i went to visit some friends in san diego and my little one (2 1/2) stayed the night at my moms house so she could visit with grandma.

  well when i picked her up she told me that she had taken her to "meeting" and that she had been a very good girl.

  well i didnt want to make a big deal about taking her to meeting because i really needed some grown up time and it was nice for my mom to offer to take my daughter for the night.

  Other loaded language by JWs:

  • Wait on Jehovah - any problem can be fixed by...
  • Worldy - anything not JW
  • Spiritistic - anything magical or unknown
  • Spiritual - producing JW results including recruiting, bible study, meeting attendance
  • Sheeplike - willing to submit to any direction
  • Organization - the spirit directed group of JWs as lead by the "Governing Body"
  • Study - refers to a person, "my Bible Study"
  • New Light - a change in doctrine
  • Progressing - increasing involvement in JW activities
  • Apostate - JW or ex-JW who deviates from doctrine, also applyed to information that opposes JWs
  • Opposed - a non-JW who resists JW friends or family (different from Apostate)
  • Brother/Sister - members individually or collectively (The Brothers) "He is a Brother"
  • Drift/Fell Away - become less active or disappear from JW group
  • Persecution - any attack or circumstance that disrupts life as a JW, often directly blamed on Satan.

  JWs have proven they can handle doctrinal switchbacks, persecution, organization scandals, cancelled promises, voluntary loss of disfellowshipped family - but not the TRUTH.

  i remember when i first googled "jehovah's witnesses".

  i was sick to my stomach because i feared that i was disobeying jehovah.

  although i was scared that i would find something "apostate" or "demonic", i still continued to click on different links.

  My son bought a Motorcycle and i am so scared.

  not just any motorcycle but a crouch rocket and it is making sick to my stomach and i am so scared.

  he called so many insurance agency's and most won't even insure him because of the kind of bike it is.

  i hear so many people killed on bikes and it terrifies me .

  Advice from a fellow rider:

  Always ride with a FULL FACED helmet.

  Always ride with AT LEAST a thick leather jacket and jeans.

  Always wear boots that cover the ankle (ankles no more in a slide).

  Take a motorcycle training course.

  You can be consoled that dirt-bike riders are always better than street-only bikers because they know how a bike feels when "out of control", skidding, loss of traction. This experience is invaluable in a crisis.

  To you mothers who are completely freaked out about your children, please know motorcycles are a great way to "get there", but a certain amount of "fear" of injury has to be exposed to the young rider. Big racers (1000cc+) are alot to handle for newbie. Take it easy at first.

  i have thought about this myself: if jehovah's creatures are "amazingly designed", why is it that carnivores are obviously amazingly designed to kill other animals and eat their flesh (and blood, oh my!).

  how does that fit the idea that all animals were (and will again become) vegetarians in the paradise(tm)?

  well, the official resonse is: don't think about it!!!.
