  Was God in this disaster?

  i got this in my email and thought i would pass it along.

  i know many of us are struggling with so many issues involving god and the bad things that happen.

  for me this recent tsunami disaster was over the top, i'm beyond understanding and i'm not going to say this article helped me understand any better but it did show me that x-jw's aren't the only ones who struggle with such questions.

  The Watchtowers answer would be "Adam's sin made everything imperfect"

  Well, I think this is a bunch of crock! If you would tell me that Adam's sin makes us get old and die, I would agree with you 100%. But, what about these disasters? What about birth defects? What about mothers dying during childbirth or the child itself?

  Intelligent people would come to the conclusion that if God made the earth, and Adam sinned.... Then these things would not happen!

  Disasters can be seen throughout our ancient history! Many people do not have a choice as to where they live. A thought provoking documentary of the explosion of mount Etna in Sicily, Italy shows how religious nuts think that God will save them! As the lava came down the mountain, these people were praying and not leaving like the informed intelligent kind of people!

  If God created the earth, he did not do it the way the Bible says!

  has anyone else observed or even taken part in the strange phenomenon of defending something even when you have doubts about it?

  it's not a new phenomenon; i think freud called it "reactive formation".

  i notice every now and then, jws and/or their supporters tentatively surface on the jw discussion board.

  If you look at old publications from WT society (30's through 70's) Jesus did not have a beard!

  Poof, now he has one!

  By the way people in the new world will not have a beard!

  Poof! All those pictures show blacks, whites, chinese, asians, indians, paki's, arabs, men, women, children,...... but no bearded people (even Siks, and Ruskis)

  New OM Book replacement & Upcoming Elder School

  the organized to accomplish our ministry (om book) will be replaced on sunday march 20, 2005 with a book titled organized to do jehovah's will.

  this is confidential, so be sure to tell your relatives and friends that are still in!

  will there be any updates to the org's procedures, or just a re-hash of old policies?

  Df'd for celebrating with worldly husband?

  i was just wondering if someone can be df'd for celebrating x-mas with their worldly husband's family?

  i thought that i had successfully faded away but it was found out that i went with my husband to his family's home to celebrate.

  being that it was his wish for me to be there and he is "head" of the family, do you all think that i will be brought in before a committee after three years away?

  I've seen bad behavior (business and/or with tenants)by a JW woman, and she said it was her husbands wish that she

  why would they expand the printing fascilities further when the growth over all has went flat?

  answer: Cheap labor in cheap area, so they can prepare Brooklyn to be sold for high $. Eventually they will build more buildings, and sell the previous ones they inflated the price on! Obviously, if you take run down real estate, then build and beautify with voulenteer labor, you have the key to $ -dacheech- -scholar of 35 years experience in the org- P.S. Monroe assembly hall was practical, beautiful, and very useful..... But they sold it to high $. Then they built another 30 miles away! (with free labor, my friends were there)

  isaiah's prophecy and daniels book has to be the most "blow smoke up their ass book there is"!

  I guess the worse news was "WHat will stop them from studying the Isaiah book again"?

  Well the books in the future will be diminished due to budgets and less donations. The quality of

  the books are crap (I can't figure how they expect us to keep our copy of the book for more than one study cicle).

  I told my wife last night "I Hope you hold and cherish the Bible story book", she said "why"?

  I said, "I saw a new copy in the library, and it's softcover and small edition"!

  She can't figure that they are cheapining due to making money like any other corporation would!

  How can we cherish the content, when they are treating the books like money making schemes!

  The content is not worth the paper it is written in!

  I hope Brooklyn reads this! Those hypocrites, and thiefs!

  As some of you are well aware of we are going to study again

  the self glorifying publications of "Daniels prophecy". I have no idea of how

  I am going to survive this one again!

  Might as well bring back the "revelation climax....." book
