private placement transaction with HOM.
What does that mean?
see http://biz.yahoo.com/e/040720/hom8-k.html.
if this link doesn't work, go to yahoo finance, go to hom stock and look at the 8-k document .. it seems to say that the wtbs of pennsylvania has entered into a private placement transaction with hom.
heard of them doing this.
private placement transaction with HOM.
What does that mean?
my family had a gettogether this weekend and my and my father were not invited...my dad was so upset..i advised my dad to let it go...my sister was invited but she is another clone...my dad has finally seen the errors but the fellowship with his own kin struck deep into his soul...he is 64 now and wants to be close to his own brothers and sisters and i didnt know how to really counsel dad or talk to him..we went out to dinner but over and over he spoke his frustration of not being invited.....any suggestion for any of you current break aways to help my dad?
I feel your pain mole. I'm in the same boat with my mom. I haven't heard from her in 7 years. I'm in the process of writing her a letter (2 month process) - so we'll see how it goes. I don't have any advice - just empathy.
no one partakes of it?
out of the many memorials i have been to, i only recall 1 when a bethelite came to give our talk and he was of the anointed and partook of the emblems.
but anyway i've read a post on here and heard about a person in my local area that partook of the emblems and their "anointed" status was questioned.
This is why JWs are so interested in the anointed partaker count, its a gauge for Armeggedon. 8000 to go.This is just speculation....but do you think the JW's would ever be like some of the other "suicide cults" and get the 8000 to do themselves in so that armageddon could come?! (and not look stupid with another failed doctrine)
I know that's crazy - but I do believe that most would do it if the WT said to.
But wait....is that crazy?
sadly i feel like my son is moving toward another paranoid cult like group.
after extracting him, his mom and myself from the jw's 12 years ago my son is now exposed to and possibly buying into another bazzare belief system.
after our divorce, his mother remarried to a guy who believes all sorts of conspiracy theories such as : .
Poor kid.
the wts has said that you must be a jw in order to be approved by jehovah for salvation.. the wts says that any who leave their organization are considered as dead and that other members are not free to speak to or associate with them.. we simply can't rest our hopes on the claims of men for our salvation.
the actions of the wts has proven that thiey are *not* from god nor do they have his stamp of approval, except only in their own minds.. when one's inner heart of hearts shows you that what you may have thought is this "nation", no matter what they *claim* to be----you are forced to look "elsewhere" to find that nation.. when you pray for the holy spirit to guide you (which is a free gift but you ask for it to be in harmony with your dedication to god), and if you keep getting the answer that the wts is *not* what you previously thought it to be, you don't want to go against the holy spirit by remaining where you *know* in your heart and the "nudgings" from the holy spirit that you have asked to help you.. when you ask god for a good conscience, and do your utmost to live up to that plea, and through many years you discover that the "nation" you have attached yourself to is *not* what it claims to be or that truly exhibits the love you had thought was there, or has misled you in the true teachings of christ and the bible......your bible-trained conscience tells you that this is not where you belong and you remove yourself from it.. we must not put our trust in man (men) as the psalms point out, and must put our trust in the higher powers of god, christ and the holy spirit to govern your thoughts---despite the claims of men to the contrary.
any man (or group of men) who tell you that leaving their organization is the same as leaving god, or that you must be in their organization to be approved by god---and that he now views you as dead---is wrong on every possible count.
Hahaha Annie - I don't know how that got on there twice!
what i mean is according to the society, there are a number of persons that are "technically" "inactive" yet are viewed as jws still.
i'm sure that i'm viewed as a witness still because i am not df'd or disassociated.....what about you??
?
I am a long gone DF'ed JW. 18 years out for me! No fading for me...I went out with big ole immoral bang!

Gasp! Yerusaly...(sp?) Good Point!!!
I read somewhere on the internet that satan loves the JW memorial because every year 6 million JW's are tricked into rejecting Jesus' commandment to partake. Haha. Fools
You are right SweetP - but you know the dubs don't really use the bible. They use the WATCHTOWER. I'm sure the WT explains it perfectly!

It is arrogant, haughty and blasphemous---to imagine that *they* can decide something of that magnitude.
EXACTLY!! I was just thinking that - couldn't have said it better.

i don't and assume no one does, but thought i would ask.
I definitely do not. Its absurd - I don't care what the bible says.
That seems like freakin paradise...
Awww ObviouslySecret ((((hugs)))) Hang is there sweetie! It might get better.
