I think the only people not shocked about my sudden exit were ex wife and the firing squad!!
My Mom supported me for a while because, in her view, I "hadn't done anything that would necessitate DF'ing". That changed when I started seeing a young lady....
One life long *friend* did comment that 'you're not the man I thought you were. You never back down from anything', only to leave less than a year later, after running off with an elders 16 yr old daughter!!

if anything happened to her, what would the witness position be on my attending the funeral ?.
i know she would (quite rightly)expect a service at the kingdom hall.

I know she would (quite rightly)expect a service at the Kingdom Hall. Would my insistence on being present at a service mean that it would not be allowed (this has happened in the past in my old congregation), and would I still be treated as an outcast, even though I would be greiving more than they ?

Which men / lads here cry when listening to music / watching films?
by Celtic inyou know how some of us guys have to put on a bit of an act sometimes, we have to set our faces into our coping scowl, but underneath, we're too well aware of just how soft we are?
well.. what music to the big guys here only, not you wimpy bunch, brings a tear to your eye or which films is it that you need to keep a box of tissues handy by you to wipe away the dampness in your eye?.
for celtic it's a track by dido - white flag and also black eyed peas - where is the love?

There's a really sad commercial going around about child abuse that I can't bare to watch... it reduced me to a Wreck the first time I saw it!!!
Last night... I shed a tear for Alfie and Kat on Eastenders - I don't watch it as a rule, but walked in while they were trying to get over this business with a loan shark!! Flippin eck, powerful stuff!! The acting was pretty decent too!!!
All cried out now... my 'soul cleansed' for another day.....

My Uncle used to live in a flat above a Devil Worshipper - they had some strange things happen there, including Growling (sounded like a bluddy big dog, but they didn't have one), faces appearing and disappearing on the walls; apparently there was some trouble with my cousin as a baby whilst they lived there, but no one in the family would ever 'elaborate'.
Needless to say, they moved out ASAP!!!
The Guy who lived below, apparently drove his girlfriend insane when she left him!
btw, this is no BULL!
On a lighter note, an elder that I knew in my troubled past was given an old piano, that eventually they smashed to pieces, saying that they could hear it 'playing to itself' occasionally at night! Freaky.............

I always blub if I watch Sinead O Connors video, while she'e singing Nothing Compares to U. That bit with the single, lonely tear, leaving it's well of unhappiness with a trail of sadness down her soft, melancholy face.! **Big Sighs**
As regards films, Independance Day always does it to me.... where the president has to tell his daughter that Mommy's sleeping.... WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! That look on his face says it all !!!!!

Hi, and Welcome!!
I'm a newbie to this site too, although I have been 'lurking' for a while and reading peoples posts.
Like most have already said - this isn't a hate site. It appears there are many here who do hate witnesses, but read up on their stories and I'm sure you'll agree most have more than just cause!!
There are also witnesses that try to counsel, console, and empathise with those that are suffering on this site.
I don't Hate witnesses - that would require too much effort and time, and there is sooooooooo many more 'fun' things to do!!
Hope you stay around - you'll find actually these 'haters' are just caring, freindly, and sometimes angry, people!!

i put this in humour, but it makes me want to vomit hard
by in a new york bethel minute ini receieved this "poem" from some witness chick who sent it as a forward to myself and a whole bunch of other dubs.
my sister received it from someone else and i have other friends who received it from other sources.
im sure every young witness who has email has received it by now, and it's the most sickening, disheartening thing i have seen in a long time.

Hmm, just come across this one.....
I can't put into words the contempt I feel for the people who write this sh*t. If it comes from experience, then I empathise, but usually with most of the crap that the 'flock' gets fed on, it's pure conjecture, based on the assumption that ALL people outside of the borg are hedonistic, godless sociopaths, hell bent on b*ggering, beating or drugging the living daylights out of each other!!.
Maybe the writer of this poem knew my Ex JayWit wife. What a luvverly couple they would make !! Marry only in the lord???? Yeah Right!!!!
