My Uncle used to live in a flat above a Devil Worshipper - they had some strange things happen there, including Growling (sounded like a bluddy big dog, but they didn't have one), faces appearing and disappearing on the walls; apparently there was some trouble with my cousin as a baby whilst they lived there, but no one in the family would ever 'elaborate'.

Needless to say, they moved out ASAP!!!

The Guy who lived below, apparently drove his girlfriend insane when she left him!

btw, this is no BULL!

On a lighter note, an elder that I knew in my troubled past was given an old piano, that eventually they smashed to pieces, saying that they could hear it 'playing to itself' occasionally at night! Freaky.............

Which men / lads here cry when listening to music / watching films?

you know how some of us guys have to put on a bit of an act sometimes, we have to set our faces into our coping scowl, but underneath, we're too well aware of just how soft we are?

well.. what music to the big guys here only, not you wimpy bunch, brings a tear to your eye or which films is it that you need to keep a box of tissues handy by you to wipe away the dampness in your eye?.

for celtic it's a track by dido - white flag and also black eyed peas - where is the love?

I always blub if I watch Sinead O Connors video, while she'e singing Nothing Compares to U. That bit with the single, lonely tear, leaving it's well of unhappiness with a trail of sadness down her soft, melancholy face.! **Big Sighs**

As regards films, Independance Day always does it to me.... where the president has to tell his daughter that Mommy's sleeping.... WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!! That look on his face says it all !!!!!

i thought it was a discussion board for those interested in/ for jehovah's witnesses, but it seems like you're all former jehovah's witnesses?

so is this site just to bash jehovah's witnesses?

Hi, and Welcome!!

I'm a newbie to this site too, although I have been 'lurking' for a while and reading peoples posts.

Like most have already said - this isn't a hate site. It appears there are many here who do hate witnesses, but read up on their stories and I'm sure you'll agree most have more than just cause!!

There are also witnesses that try to counsel, console, and empathise with those that are suffering on this site.

I don't Hate witnesses - that would require too much effort and time, and there is sooooooooo many more 'fun' things to do!!

Hope you stay around - you'll find actually these 'haters' are just caring, freindly, and sometimes angry, people!!

i receieved this "poem" from some witness chick who sent it as a forward to myself and a whole bunch of other dubs.

my sister received it from someone else and i have other friends who received it from other sources.

im sure every young witness who has email has received it by now, and it's the most sickening, disheartening thing i have seen in a long time.

Hmm, just come across this one.....

I can't put into words the contempt I feel for the people who write this sh*t. If it comes from experience, then I empathise, but usually with most of the crap that the 'flock' gets fed on, it's pure conjecture, based on the assumption that ALL people outside of the borg are hedonistic, godless sociopaths, hell bent on b*ggering, beating or drugging the living daylights out of each other!!.

Maybe the writer of this poem knew my Ex JayWit wife. What a luvverly couple they would make !! Marry only in the lord???? Yeah Right!!!!

I think Special K hit on something there - re people in twilight years may be better left in...

As much as I'd love my Mum to leave (as would the rest of our entire family!) she has made this her life's work.She often gets lightly teased and called 'Sister Elder'. Her appetite for any scraps she's handed from the WTS is voracious, and her defence of the organisation incredibly fierce!

I think if she left, it would be the end of her!

On a lighter note, it's a good job she doesn't know I've categorised her as being in Golden Years... my life would be in jeopardy right about now if she did know!

I think I've found quite a few differences since my departure from the borg - not all for the best.

I now have the freedom of choice, freedom of thought, freedom to screw up without repercussions... I enjoy 'debased' humour, occasional excesses of 'falling over juice' IMHO, I have a 'liberated existence' now.

Unfortunately, there is also a deeply instilled nagging fear of Armageddon. occasional feelings of worthlessness, a desire to visit all the ex 'pebbles' and beat the living s**t out of them (my sisters hanging in there by a thread, and is receiving all the judgemental looks and sneering glances of the self effaced hypocrites, and it makes my blood boil - I should be happy cos I'm sure it will eventually make her decide to leave, but I can't stand the thought of them judging my sis like they did me!)

My philosophy now is 'if it hurts, get pissed. If it still hurts, drink more!!!!

btw, I am on the lookout for suitable liver donors........ just in case!

You think you guys have it bad ???? Approx. 83% of our fuel cost is tax, with prices about £3.60 per gallon - can you imagine paying $7 for a gallon (approximate equivalents!)

I've started pushing my Goldwing to the tops of big hill just so I can roll down em again cos the fuel costs too much!!! bloomin knackered I am!!! LOL

JW stabs husband; he refuses blood

the australian jw couple were married only 10 days prior in bali, but on saturday something went awry.

a dispute arose between the two and she stabbed him in the back and arm.

in critical condition and in need of blood, he refused.

Has your prayer life changed?

i am wondering if or how your method of prayer has changed?

what does prayer mean to you, not what others have told you it means.

Since being DF'd, prayer pretty much stopped for me due to anger at the borg, and at God for allowing the harsh treatment (Hadn't the Judicial Committee prayed for Holy Spirit before sentencing me ??)

I've never really got back into a prayer pattern since, although I did pray for a very good friend when he told me he was going to leave the JayWits - pretty much a babbling gush of emotion, asking that he might be guided in the right decision. Methinks he was......!
