  Hilarious rumours!!!

  when my father stepped down from being an elder in the congregation, due to him wanting to spend more time with the family, a lot of people were very curious as to why he did.

  the shocking rumour started going around as to the reason why- my dad had been caught having gay sex in a car with another brother, and they were caught in the act by a pioneer sister in the congregation!.

  on hearing the gossip dad actually couldn't speak for a whole 1/2 hour!

  Not heard any rumours about me since I've left.... but as a teenager I apparently broke my dad's nose because he turned the TV channel over, and attacked my mom because she was trying to stop me hitting him !!!

  I got a public reproof for it too, and all my congregational priveleges(?) stopped for a while !!

  Nope, I wouldn't do anything out of obligation for my friends. I love my friends, and as such, would do everything within my power to help them out of love, but never out of a false sense of obligation. That's saved for certain family members!

  Although having said that, I did feel obliged to tell LT that his legs looked good in his kilt!

  ok...we have been stocking up our liquor bar....and i saw this whisky: macnaughton for super cheap.....................(it says it is a canadian whiskey...but don't believe it........i know canadian whiskey's...this doesn't qualify).

  what are some ways to drink it for us wimps?

  If yer really must water it down, do just that! Mineral water is the best thing to add to a strong scotch to help release the flavours - especially if it's cask strength (anything up to 60% vol, 120% proof!) Don't waste good malts by adding 'flavoured' mixers.

  By IV, but that's not so good for the veins

  It works for me dude !! Got my own drip bag and trolley just for the job!!!

  Someone also mentioned Jameson - one of my favourite 'glugging' whiskeys - you could also try Bush Mills, that's another good Irish Whiskey.

  I heard tell once that Wales produces a rather good Whisky too... has anyone seen / tasted it ???

  Glad you found your way here - enjoy the friendship of people who do understand your feelings of betrayal!!

  I too have family still in the borg, but so far have not had the strength to confront them with revelations about the WTBTS - as you know, it's their world, and rightly or wrongly, they will not thank you for bringing it crashing down!

  We got some great scores on two-player drunken "Wizball" - LOL.

  Boy, does that bring back some memories - A four pack of guiness each, a bottle of Teachers blended whisky, and a pizza with EVERY topping on !!!!
