  Are there any bikers out there ???

  how many of you are ex jw bikers ??

  i remember it was frowned upon when i had a bike - risking life and limb on english roads didn't go down too well with some of the more conservative elders.. what kind of bike do you ride ?.

  me, i ride a honda goldwing, gl1500 sem - american import.

  Good Elders and Bad Elders, how do you know which is which?

  probably some elders really care for brothers and sisters in the congregation, while other elders just do their job automatically like yes men... probably you've know both kinds.. there is an elder phoning me once a month, very regularly, and i just don't know if it's because he cares for me, or because he has a boss that will question him on my whereabouts.... i was just wondering if he was a good loving elder, or just a yes man following orders...

  I think there are some good ones - two spring to my mind.....

  LittleToe - he was an elder, adn while he never had any dealings with me at that time, I know the man - and he is damn fine one at that!

  Also his Dad was an elder as we were growing up together. I always found him fair in his dealings with me as an errant kid, and spent a lot of time with him and his family. He was cool !

  Jehovah's Witnesses Deserve To Be Persecuted

  let's say it plainly, for once.

  jehovah's witnesses deserve to be persecuted.. at one time, jehovah's witnesses suffered terribly in germany and communist countries - but that was a long time ago.. right now, the watchtower's minions are slyly preaching to circuit assemblies about the importance of shunning their ex-witness.

  Is that really how you'd like to treat Jehovahs Witnesses ?

  If that's so, then how come so many find it difficult to leave, and spend years living double lives, or are actively trying to educate their loved ones ? Why don't they turn their backs on them, or even better, turn the keys to their cell doors ??

  That's what JW's are made up of remember - OUR loved ones. And most of them are in it because they are misguided, deceived, hell, some of them are even stupid. So they should be imprisoned for being trusting, naiive, or blind ??? To persecute Jehovahs Witnesses is to persecute many of our families. Is that REALLY what you would like to do ??

  There are many members that are sincere, just as in any religion. And there are those that are abusive, and use religion as a mask, just as in any religion. Why stop at Jehovahs Witnesses ? Wouldn't that be the 'icing on the cake' for them, prophetically speaking ? After the Wild beast has finished with Christendom and "they turn their attention to God's people, it would be like touching His eyes". Isn't that just one of the many beliefs?

  I dislike what the witnesses have done to me and my family, and continue to do to all of yours and others too. But I can't exalt in language that incites others to hatred, even if it is against JW's.

  Did you as a brother, do less to avoid responsibilities?

  i have no choice but to remain active in the "troof" - for family and friends.

  one day i will leave, but that day has not yet come.. i am not happy about leading a "double life" but i really have no say - for the peace of the family and my own sanity i must maintain the status quo.

  it's difficult coexisting - i go to some meetings, but i spend more time here learning about the society.

  Seriously guys - I'd hate to be in your situation, and can only hope that the relationships you are trying to save are worth the pain that you are putting yourselves through.

  There are plenty of people out in this old wicked world that will accept and befriend you for who you are, not what you believe.

  I sincerely hope you manage to keep your sanity, for as long as you manage to keep up the double life!

  how do you feel about blood now?

  the thought of taking a blood transfusion still gives me the creeps... but now i know that i'd take one if my life was on the line.

  I wouldn't give blood - but really only because I have the shyest veins in history - the nurses couldn't find the veins last time I needed a blood test, so ended up trying to use a smaller one one in the back of my hand - and that collapsed!

  I don't know how I'd feel about receiving blood until it was the 11th hour - dub indoctrination still screams no, but I think the desire to keep living would overcome it! Hope I never have to find out.

  i finally did it.

  my da letter was short and sweet, so i gave them nothing to use for potential ammunition.

  for those of you who have read my posts, i came to the point where the slow fade was not an option.

  Darth Yhwy - If it's an 87 I'm guessing it is a 1200 ? I was thinking of upgrading to one of those awhile back - I had an 1100 Interstate, but came across my current bike and it was too good to miss.

  I had my wedding procession led by two Wineberry GL1100's - caused quite a lot of interest as we drove by..

  Lehaa - I hired a Suzuki SV1000S for about 7 weeks while my wing was being repaired... What a bike !!! It was so much fun to ride... but it had to go.. before I lost my license or my life !! Temptation to play on it was just too great.....! In the name of experimentation I did see what the net effect of suddenly sitting upright from a prone position was at 135mph.... all I can say is that if it wasn't for all those years of self abuse, there would be no way I could have held on!! Masturbation save my life !!!

  Chuckler - The 1200 bandit is an awesome machine - quite a few people I know own them. I also like the look of the GSX1400 - I wanted to test ride one before I bought my wing, but the guys at the shop said "it's not test ride season any more" - so i walked out and bought something else instead. According to the blurb re the bike show, you can test ride one !!! I know where I'm going this weekend !!!
