i don't know how this happened and how they met, but a relative, a jw elder and my old po talked about us leaving the wts.

(he said this to my wife).

they reasoned, how could someone, who was a pioneer, bethelite, worked at the rbc, district and circuit level, taught at the pioneer school, helped dozens to baptism, suddenly and inexplicably, leave jehovah's organization?.

first of all- a little history.

my ex-wife a fanatic jw seems to be in a pissing match ( not of my choosing ) with me over trying to get my son back into the jw cult.

he's 25, been out of the witnesses since 17 and he is very happy with his life .he has a great girlfriend, he enjoys gardening growing his own vegetables and he is a performing singer/guitarist now writing songs and performing in front of hundreds of people .

thousands of jehovah's witnesses, and the number could be as high as 100,000, are being disfellowshipped each year in the watchtower org.

their religious policy on disfellowshipping is not biblical, and the punishment is cruel and inhumane.

the punishment of being shunned has many consequences.

well my mom has been a jw ever since i was 5 but was studying since before i was born, i am now 21 and hate every minute of it.

i could never stand it, she knows i dont like it but still makes me go preaching and go to the meetings and what not, your probably asking yourself why dont i just leave?

well shes the one who pays for my college and everything tht i need.

Go to the door by yourself tell them it gives you a panic attack if anyone goes with you. THen either don't knock or knock REALLY light if anyone comes to the door apologize and then explain the situation to the householder just like you did to us.

'I'm sorry I didn't mean to disturb you, my mom is a JW and she makes me do this or she's going to cut off my college fund. So I'm sorry I disturbed you. Have a nice day.'

At a 2 day assembly ...the point that the brother spoke about that drove me mad....."don't hug your husband, wife or child during prayer".

i attended one day of a two day assembly and did ok until the very last talk.

the brother was from bethal and well jw's pay closer attention to their talks, cause that is when some new info is given,,,right.

well anyways i lost focus and began to daydream, cause it became one of those talks that just talks about wasting time.

Why Will the WT Ultimately Fail

i see two compelling reasons right off the bat:.

1. financial - this one is a bit counterintuitive, as we all know the wtb$ is loaded.

but if we could see real preaching stats by territory, i bet my ass that the most return visits are in the western/developed countries.

Can you name one religion of any size - over 1 million people- that has gone out of business?
Hmm Yes? I can in fact name HUNDREDS! See a lot of Baal worshipers running around!? I almost can't go out on a sunday without throngs of zeus devotees running me over or the followers of Apollo! In fact the vast majority of religions eventually fade. Christianity will be no different.
Now as to this splinter of a splinter of a splinter, A) They don't have as much money as you think, they are land well off not rich but extremely cash poor. And don't give me that oh they have 100 million in real estate. Even if it was true (and it's not) Who cares? 100 million is NOTHING to a religion they could piss that away in 2 years easy if donations dried up. When I was the accounts servants helper we would take in between 30-50 on a sunday per box that's not exactly tearing it up. Wed nights we would be lucky to break 20 on any box. So yeah going bankrupt is a HUGE concern for these guys. When you push the majority of your followers to stay on the bottom rung of society? Well that's where they stay and they can't afford to buy you an ivory throne.
I think the bottom line in their actual fall will be worker bee fatigue and history catching up to them. Think about it they are stagnant. The few who are left 7 million is 'few' are exhausted. I had some come up to me the other day while I was working outside they talked for a few minutes, never once mentioned religion in any way and then trudged off... I actually felt really bad for them! And anyone who does have even a scrap of interest is going to google them and end up here (or similar) and that will be the end of that!
Think about it those of you that came in via a study if you had seen this site FIRST would you have joined? Hell no! And a very small percentage of born In's stay in so what happens? Eventually it falls, I think 2014-2020 is going to see them fall as an organized single religion, maybe not but that where my $5 is.
