KM in 1974 praising people for selling all their stuff and pioneering?

someone on this site mentioned they got a km off ebay that praised those that sold all their belongings and preached.. does anyone know which km that was?.

interesting, when going through the society's cd-rom i noticed that the drama for the district convention in 1975 was about noah's ark and was something along the lines of "there's still time left!

Declining Meeting Attendance-CO visit

so we have our circuit overseer this week.

we're getting the crap kicked out of us (figuratively) for our meeting attendance.

we have attendance in the 70% range for some of our meetings.

As to shortening the meetings and assemblies they do it every few years assemblies get shorter now they have one day special assemblies and three day assemblies... meetings get shorter... maybe one day they will just have one 30 min meeting a month!

was mulling over the 1914 thing (607 etc) and discovered :-.

i thought this was a hoax, then clicked on the link to ''thy kingdom come'' - so now what to believe?

Russell "found" that pyramidology "confirmed" his 1914 and other dates. Thus, so far as Russell was concerned, pyramidology was an independent confirmation of an already established chronology.

I agree that is why in most of CT's books and Watchtowers he refered to the Pyramids as the "great witness of Giza" Not the great prophet or any such thing! There is however very little doubt that the man (and the men who followed him) were all fruitcakes!

Enoch - Transferred so as not to see death

wanted to know what anyone here thinks or has studied on enoch and him being "transferred so as not to see death" and whether or not anyone believes john the baptist might have been him reincarnated or sent back in.

also if he was the only one in the bible not to see death.

This to me never made since if their is no eternal soul... If he didn't see death how is it that he died? Is he still alive somewhere?

If he was to be "Reincarnated" as John the B. then he must have been dead at some point correct so how did he not "see" death did it sneak up on him?

Sounds like more bible bs to me!

straight away told im not ready for baptism, not with the amount and depth of questions, that ive been warned about these sites and that apostates will do anything to knock jws.

proving its the true religion bec the bible says it will happen (shows me scriptures).

also told it doesnt happen with any other religious group - usually people just quietly leave and make no fuss - further proof that ths is the true religion.. i asked about all the dates where predictions were made, eg 1914, 1975. was told there were some articles loosly talking the 'possibility' of something happening, but the wt never said it definitely would - how could it, these are just ordinary men, not profits.

You should have gone and printed some quotes direct from the watchtower and older pub's less on 75 (they had started to learn a lessen) LOTS available on 1914 and other dates dates most witnesses aren't even AWARE of!
