Just go to one of brownholes threads and start posting the stupidest most insane things you can think of then when someone points out that your insane don't address that just completly change everything you said into something EVEN more insane... You'll get to 1000 in no time!

sorry if the title sounded funky.....but it fit.. has anyone besideds me noticed how nealy ever instance of a birth mentioned in the bible was a boy?.

i realise that women were also born, or there wouldn't be a jewish race...but why are most births recorded of the bible hero's mostly or nearly all men?.

eve has cain, able, and seth.. noah has 3 sons.. abraham has children by two women...ishmael by hagar, and issac by sarai.. issac has esau and jacob.. jacob has twelve sons...mostly by rebeccah's maidservant except for joseph.. yes, some of these ones had other sons and daughters....but it seems it was the males who always were the first out of the chute.

Now I wonder if a woman who only had daughters was called barren? If so then doesn't that show that the god who inspired the bible was a bit confused to not realize that it's the man who fathers the child who's sperm decides the sex! Seems like a bit of crap to me!

As I see it, the daughters are only named when something special occurs to them. for instance as in Dinah's case.

It's almost always something negative too! Notice also that it's almost ALWAYS an excuse to keep the girls at home... Dinah, the daughters that suduced the angels... Woman should be home out of site! Ok yeah this stupid ass book was written by a loving god not a bunch of men!

Also as gumby pointed out recently if a woman did have the guts to run out of the house and lets just say... ummm greet her father upon his return from war! Well we know how that ended don't we!

Why did they change the sterilization beliefs?

i posted this on another thread but it suddenly seemed more important and i wanted to get some opinions!

i was still a dub when sterilization changed from a consciences matter to a no-no.

i remarked to my wife at the time that i thought the reason for this was a declining membership!

In the last few halls we went to before I bailed there were NO small children not even ONE! All the young guys got snipped before they got married... (seemed short-sighted to me but who am I to judge) It had to be affecting membership numbers! Since the article came out there are now several babies and toddlers in my old hall (s) I would say at least 10-15 from age 5 down (wasnt that about 6 years ago that the info came out?)

It's kinda funny there is a few 17-18 year olds (that shifts because SO many of them leave)

Then a few more 15-16 (they will leave but can't yet as they live at home)

Then a few less 13-15

Then a LOT less 11-12

Then very very few between 5-10

Then a TON of 1-5

So Watch for the statistics in the US to go positive again in 2010-2012

Men and Their Tools (I finally get it)

bought my first drill today, oh, boy, .

took a drive down to mcrae's hardware.

and though my tool is rather small.

My problem is that I used to have a job where I needed tools so of course I bought them by the thousands of dollars worth (gotta love company spending accounts!) So now that I no longer do construcion work how do you convince your wife that you NEED a $700 Bosch demolition hammer or a $400 Porter Cable compressor with 6 different Hitachi nail guns that cost $250-350 apiece and that you can't possibly even consider selling ANY of you tool on ebay...

As to drills I went through a 14.4v Porter cable hammer drill and two 18v DeWalts before I bought a cheap little 18v Ryobi drill honestly it's lasted a lot longer and it was CHEAP Now for corded tools the more expensive stuff has absolutly proved better but it's funny because no one company makes the best off all tools ie milwaukee makes great recips, big drills, and circuler saws but they make kinda crappy routers! Porter Cable makes a pretty good router and jig saw but their drills kinda blow! There is a company that does tool consumer reports that I used to have in my favorites but can't seem to find it if it pops up I'll post the link!

Ps I always need hole!
