A cd of the mp3s I've been listening to in the past few months
One days worth of newspapers, every issue I could find
Lots of adverts from newspapers and magazines
I'd keep a diary for a week and put that in
If I had the time I would record one days worth of television, 2-3 channels onto dvd
Edited to add:
2 tech magazines, one about the latest computer gadgets, the other about latest military and engineering inventions

they just broke ground on the lot where my new house is being built.
i noticed on the floor plan that there are empty voids behind a few walls and before they finish building the walls i want to put together a time capsule that i can hide in one of those voids.. if you could put together a time capsule, what you put in it?.

I used to watch the news and keep up to dates with current affairs so I could try figure who the "king of the North/South" really were, so I would know when the great tribulation would start. Then I'd make the choice either getting baptised or leaving and missing the torturing and other crap thats meant to happen then, easier to just get killed at armagedon.

What is your Favorite Scene from a Movie?
by Sweetp0985 ini thought about this topic last night for the board when watching one of my favorite movies.. 1. the man from snowy river- the part when they are going after the expensive colt and they get to the edge of the cliff and all the other riders stop and "jim" keeps going and leaps down the cliff after the wild horses.
i absolutely love that part of the movie...everytime its on i have to watch it, if not just to see this part only.. 2. love and basketball- when she tells him she will play for his heart...awwww first time i started crying.
and then the music they had playing in the background made it even worse.

It would appear that they aren't putting whole watchtowers and awakes on the site, just certain articles from more recent issues (I think, I'm not exactly up to date)...

I think I finally figured out the blood doctrine....I think
by undercover inthis whole blood doctrine thing has got me so confused, but i think i've got it narrowed down to this:.
the wts is trying to get away from the blood doctrine or at least make it less of a doctrinal point than it has been over the years.
the wts now allows fractions, which, if i understand correctly, modern medicine uses fractions more than whole blood anyway.

my mother got back from that watchtower study and she mentioned how they were now allowed to take blood fractions. She said that blood fractions were only really used in stuff like snake bite antidotes, and it wasn't really important.. I immediately brought up that numerous witnesses must have died over the years due to not being allowed to have said antidotes, isn't this a waste of life something Jehovah views as precious?
She said that she was sure those people would all be resurected, so it didn't matter to much. I brought up the pain of those peoples family but she stopped listening to me...
She also said that if she needed blood she would NEVER take it in any form.. I suggested that might be a bit selfish towards the family members incl. me, she said she was just obeying Jehovah.
That is where I walked off trying to stop myself from screaming out how brain washed she was..
anyway, can someone clarify how important blood fractions are, or how widely they are used?
It seems the average dub hasn't noticed much of a change.. -

It is crappy situation that you find yourself in.
Try making a list of all the reasons that you have for not wanting to join and show them to him. Maybe he can see for himself what is wrong with the religion.
Try help him to understand that as much as you love him, you do not want to enslave yourself to a cult with ridiculous rules.
This isn't going to be easy, there are many people on this board that have not left the organisation because of the effect it will have on their relationships with family members and friends. -
