i am hoping there are others of you that have the same feelings as my self and can help me to move on from them!.

currently i am in therapy due to different things that have happened in my life (not just to do with the witnesses!!

) and i thought it would be good to share my last session with you.. as a jw you are given your goal in life- your point.

How much of the WT doctrines do you still believe in? If you believe they are true, then youll never feel happy

I went back into the org, because I thought they had the truth and I was afraid everyday because of armaggedon, its like living on death row ! No wonder you feel theres no point

I spent the next 20 years, trying to get it right. Now I no longer feel they have the truth, and I am at peace with myself. Im not saying its easy, other problems surfice when you leave and Ive had to run a gauntlet of emotions, but now I feel life just begun, the black cloud has lifted.

Im not saying that if you leave the org everything in life is rosie, cos im not, what I am saying is if you are still indoctrinated, you will never be free,

when you were babtized and dedicated did you feel a void?

this has always troubled me:.

i was studying to be babtized although i was raised around the "truth" i still had to have an official study.

so i was taught that i had to go to jehovah in prayer stating my desire to be dedicated and babtized.

I felt the same, after the initial elation of having a study, I just didnt "have "it. So I thought maybe once im baptized ill feel something, but I never did. I believed it was the truth, and so I always thought it was me.

it's been really inspiring looking at the many posts and threads on this board, and i've enjoyed posting quite a few myself.

regretfully, i feel that it's time to move on in my quest for inner peace, but i will always cherish meeting many friends along the way who support me.

i've had both bad times and good times here, but it was time well spent.
