  can anyone direct me or provide the information of how many jw's actually were sent to and died in the nazi concentration camps.

  i believe that the jw's claimed so many numbers, but the actual figures were lower.

  New Light on Higher Education

  my son made a point to tell me that they had what was to him a very interesting, different talk on the service meeting this week.

  the presiding overseer gave a talk on the society's changed view of getting a college education.. he used the scripture which admonishes the reader to "acquire a heart of wisdom" and applied it to getting a 4 year college education for the sake of being able to support oneself at double the rate of pay with one's degree upon graduation.

  this of course is only for the purpose of being able to then pioneer, only having to work a few days a week, thereby having the time for the field ministry.. such an annoying change - finally!

  I remember an article on education, but it was emphasized it was to enable you to get a good job so that you could pioneer.

  All the young ones in our hall went to college, some even went to university im glad to say.

  "Got m' own church" -do you think types of people to go to certain churchs?

  when door knocking i was always a bit cheeky when people said they had their own church - i'd make some silly comment about was it in their living room - where they the pastor etc.. anyhow i do remember that after a while you kinda got to know the different type of people that the different churches attracted as below (this was only true in the uk) .

  general trend: .

  1/ rollers in hair, slippers and print aprons (and that was just the men) - church of england .

  i knew i was a little odd, when i noticed it was only me who seemed to read magazines, starting at the back and working my way to the front.. but the other day, i realized when on this forum, that i always start at the bottom of the page of topics and work my way up to the top!!!!!!!!!.

  i know strange but true.

  have any of you got a strange foilble?.

  How do you know when your spouse is cheating on you?

  okay, i know this is personal, but i kind of like the annoninimity of the board versus asking my friends who are all also friends with my husband.. my husband went out of the country with a group from work this weekend.

  i was supposed to go but had to cancel due to other stuff.

  it turned out only 4 ended up going, my husband, a guy, and two women.

  One question you could ask yourself, Do you THINK he would? We are all capable of doing things we shouldnt. But is it unlikely of him to do this?

  I dont THINK my husband would, but only he would KNOW
