Let me make this clear. This is NOT about sex. Frankly I couldn't give a shit if you believe me or not but it's the truth.

Dare a married guy meet up with his teenage infatuation? HELP!
by aylesbury_lad inalmost 25 years ago, at 17, i fell under the spell of this gorgeous, sexy, blond sister from a neighboring cong'.
i carried this crush like a pathetic puppy for almost 2 years, never summoning the nerve to ask her out.
i deservedly lost the girl.

Over three months later and this has not gone away. I'm a loner and it's not like I get asked out much, in fact not ever. 'Course being married I'd have said a polite "no thanks" anyway but this is different. My wife sees no problem in having coffee alone with a male friend, why should I beat myself up for wanting to go see this woman? confused, shit scared and a bit angry too

Thanks for your comments and private messages. Can't begin to tell you how my easy, day to day life has been churned up. I've never felt temptation like this, thought I was better than that. Damn! Am I just another pathetic 44 year old going through a mid-life crisis?! I think going to see this woman would be the stupidest thing I've ever done . . . . but must I wind up a faithful old man who never did anything stupid? Now she's offered me her phone number. God, I want to see her.

Time passed and by 22 I found myself married and, for the most part, happy. We are still married, with kids (starting to leave the nest) and a dog and a settled life. I'm not complaining, it's good.
Here's my problem.
I joined an ex-jw list at meetup.com some years ago. I've never been to a meetup but I get the automatic updates when someone else signs up - and guess who just did?!
I couldn't believe it when I saw her picture. We've exchanged a few emails and I told her about the ridiculous crush I had on her back in the early 80's. We've both moved on of course and there is no way I'd risk my marriage for some vain, ego trip to the past.
I know the answer to my own question, of course I do. There's no sane advice you can give me that I wouldn't have offered to some other twit in my place just 2 days ago. But...I do want to see her, and it seems like she'd be happy to see me too.
I'm in serious shit here aren't I?

This news simply must reach the media. Barbera, if you give the news agencies only what you can support 100% can the investigative journalists not be left to do their job?

I went to my newsagent to buy this mag' but all he had was the May issue, no kidding!!
The mag' is monthly and so the date seems rather unnecessary, it's simply the March issue.
Just a thought, it is 'Womans Own' isn't it?
Not:
Woman
Woman's weekly
Women's friend
etc etc etcla
