i am very curious to your respones.
The positive: Learning good study habits, learning cold call selling ( service)and learning how not to raise my kids.
The NEGATIVE: All the wasted time, holier than thou attitudes, no secondary education, a warped sense of reality, family time=meetings and service, vacations=ASSemblys, being watched by inflated ego, power hungered, window washing elders and the list can go on.
In all my years, I only had one study( didn't really want this one). I was going to his apartment and I caught his dad filling in his bald spot with eyeliner. His dad was a weak witness, but ever since then, I would notice his dads "black shine" under the halls flourecent lights.
did you love him, hate him or not care one way or another because at the time you were "neutral"?
I was working part time after school. One week, I noticed my check had a few extra dollars. I asked my boss about it and he said that I should thank President Reagan for the tax cut. I loved him ever since.
i would get excited when i was younger and would study the watchtower and see that this weeks study only had 19 paragraphs.
(made the study seem shorter,lol).
when a meeting would get canceled because of snow (which was rare) and i would get to stay home and watch a cheers or the cosby show.

i've been reading this site for years and i need more posts (is this a left over dub-thang like counting time?).
so taking a page from ozzie's poll, here's my top five.
1. i got myself doctorates in divinity & metaphysics from the ulc (ulc.org, about $140 - i went for the works) so i could register with the county as a minister to officiate weddings, done 4 so far - i don't charge if you're interested.
And pretty much every little, personal quirk the elders would have. They always have there own ideas about what you could be punished for..
or do they want the world to fall in around your ears so that you might "turn back to jehovah"?.
do they think that if you had less happiness in life you would be driven back?.
my mum once exclaimed very bitterly that i had "landed on my feet" too many times and that i would probably have been back at the kh if things hadn't gone so well in my life.. englishman.
I have been inactive for over ten years, but the last two years have been the happiest in my life! I have conveyed this to my mother and I know she realizes that it is true; however, you can tell she wishes it wasn't so.
Why am I happy? Married to a wonderful woman and have a great child! Starting a new career which will enable her to go part time and provide for a great education for our son. Instead of wasting hour on hours of meetings and service each week, I can spend it with them enjoying life. Guess what?!?! no worry of pesky elders!! Yeah I am soo happy, somebody pinch me..lol
a c.o in one of his friday night talks noticed when he was invited for meals at the brothers and sisters homes that everyone has their chairs and sofa's pointed at the direction of the television set and asked why do people do that.
then he went on to strongly suggest that everyone change this and either have their furniture pointed somewhere else or get rid of the television.

Pour a good bottle of wine into a pitcher, then slice up some fruit and add. Now the topper, add a half pint of Captain Morgans, or more if you are willing. Put in fridge over night and BINGO!!

i plan to do this before her visit next weekend.
Let's see, I have been away from the family for a few years. I am returning back to the area. I plan to hide Ouija Board, Porno's, my new NON-JW wife, X-mas,my CD's(then again, I always hid music from dad!), "Apostate Books", tattoos, earing, rated R movies and my ever increasing materialistic hunger for money..Hmm, Maybe not!
