  That is such crapola! They can't even keep their kids from destroying the hotel pools, let alone keep them from disobeying this petty rule..besides it is just another way for those old farts in NY to keep control on the Witnutses..Still miss the vanila pudding lol

  i have been calling my kids for some time now.

  i am moving far away soon, and since i haven't had any contact with my daughters, i called them to let them know i was moving, and would like to say goodbye, before i flew away.

  weeks went by, as ususal, and no response.

  how many of you gave up a college scholarship to appear "spiritual"?

  jt's thread about "homegrown lawyers" and the wtbs willingly sending certain ones to college started me thinking about that question.

  i know i for one, relinquished that scholarship to show how "spiritual" i was at 18. .

  College was never even mentioned in our home. I always had A's and B's in school. In high school, I went to a Vo-tech where all the JW's, stoners and losers went. Figure none of us were preparing for college. I hear that very few witnutses still go there, since college is now "new light".. Don't worry I turned out very materialistic anyway..lol

  Back in the day, when it was unchristian to attend college, we had a wealthy elder send his kid to college. All I can remember, is my mother praising him for wanting to obtain his lawyer degree to go serve in Bethel.

  Well, Numbnut never went to Bethel and now is an ambulance chaser in Vegas. Yeah, we could all see through that..Of course he is loaded
