  OOBE, lucid dreams and astro projection

  i waas reading janh post on the chemicals in our brains relating to various phenomenon.

  started to think about the subject of astro-projection, also known as out of body experiences and even sometimes called lucid dreaming.. this is a cool site i found on it...... .

  cool subject.

  Happened to me once. Wish it would happen again. The strangest thing in the whole world. One second i'm just about to fall into deep sleep (but still somewhat awake), the next i'm squeezing out of my body. Kind of like when you squeeze toothpaste. Anyways I just started floating to the top of my cieling. It looked like something was still connecting me to my body. I remember seeing myself asleep. As soon as I became really aware of what was happening i began to float back down and re-emerge into myself again.

  It was an amazing experience and if you haven't had one, get a book and try to make it happen. It'll blow your mind once you discover its real. I've tried to do it again but it takes a lot of work/practice.

  ARE U REALLY REWARDED AS A FAITHFUL JW WHEN U DIE?

  as any of us who have been to a funeral for a faithful jw know, the deceased "made a good name" with jehovah for all their faithfulness, etc.

  and they are assured of getting a resurrection here on earth (unless they were baptized before 1935) where they'll live forever in paradise.. i recently asked a witness friend about this, as an old brother who had been a witness since wwii recently passed away.

  i asked "doesn't john 5:28 promise a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous?".

  Basically she's saying if everyone is getting a free ride, why not forgo the boring meetings and bad district convention dramas?

  in my time as jw there was at least one urban legend that was very popular.

  amongst jaydubs.this was about the dog named "jehovah" by it's jw-hating owner.

  so that when he got visited by them once again,he could shout "jehovah,attack!"..

  The main one that I remember growing up was the one about a young girl bringing her smurf into a kindom hall. She hid it in her hands and at some point she tried opening them but couldn't. Finally she managed to open them and out pops the smurf, ALIVE, pissed off and apparently the brothers had to escort it out of the kingdom hall...

  I actually believed this for a long time. My mom threw away my smurf glow in the dark lego set shortly thereafter.( I remember thinking my legos were demonized, watching them glow in the dark.)

  Well, i've always been a bit of a pervert, even at an early age. But not as big of a pervert as some elders wives/daughters.(serious)

  Actually some of the best sex i ever had was with a jw girlfriend i had when i was 19.. It was great! Everything was so intense because of the guilt involved. It was like a soap opera.

  Nowadays, there is no guilt. That's the best thing. I have a girlfriend who i live with and things are good. We watch porn and have a great time.

  THe only thing that changed for me is I stopped feeling guilty about being a sex maniac. how liberating.

  Look Stormrider give yourself about another 3 or 4 years for the residual brainwashing effects of Dubdom to wear off and believe me you'll have a whole new perspective on this. You won't give a rat's ass what the bible thinks and be living Gay and fabulous. It took almost 6 to 7 years for me to finally feel that every human being i was coming in contact with wasn't under the influence of Satan. That can really put a damper on your social life, you know?

  Listen I'm not gay but I live in Seattle and know a lot of gay people. It's senseless for you not to embrace yourself for who you are and enjoy it. Personally i feel being gay is both a genetic ( i know some gay twins) and environmental thing. If you believe it is even remotely genetic then GOD at some point had to have either created it or factored homosexuality in at some point. Hell, monkeys and most other animal species do it, are they all going to die at Armageddon too? I think its a natural part of creation

  My point is stop worrying what the bible says about it. Don't hold yourself to those values. If it's who you are than there is nothing you can do about it. Read that webpage above about the alternative bible views on homosexuality. If that doesn't work, wait another few years and you'll feel a lot better.

  So what the bible says don't be a homosexual. The bible was written way before the gay rights movement, remember?

  Besides, life is too short not to be yourself. Believe me, the JWs robbed me of this for years. THAT is the biggest sin NOT mentioned in the bible. Robbing people of their own selves. Long before the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse get to killing gays they'll be hard at work on the JWs trust me....(if you still believe that nonesense)

  WHAT'S THE WORSE THING YOU DID AT THE MEETING?

  i would have to say the worst (aka: funniest) thing i ever did at a meeting was when i sat with the circuit overseer and his wife (many moons ago......) .

  anyway, he was really prim and proper and she was of course, a very submissive wife who barely spoke without her husbands permission.

  anyway, he goes to the platform and starts off by asking th audience: who was ahab?

  I stole a bunch of rolls of toilet paper from the bathroom. My brother and I used them to TP our neighborhood. We told some of our JW friends, and sure enough, they turned us in.

  Oh, we also did a brody (burn-out) in my white trash chevy camaro as we exited the Kindom Hall one night. It threw rocks agains the glass window of the KH. ELders were pissed.

  My brother used to smoke pot just before going to a meeting. I was too scared to do something like that at the time. I was afraid Jehovah would launch a lightning bolt or something....
