What made YOU drop Christianity?
by GetBusyLiving inafter i read coc and left the dubs for a short while i considered myself christian.
the way franz explained it, all that is required is to have faith in jesus and to love your neighbor as yourself and then you will be 'saved'.
the more i started pealing away at the onion though the dumber the premise of someone dying for my 'sins' seemed, and i just lost faith in it altogether.

you know what really gets me upset? shaving the beard is actually rooted in "pagan" worship and homosexuality. back in the day gay guys would shave their beard to look more like women. that's why isrealite men were comanded "not to shave the extrimity of their beard". man the WTS is so wacked out. they twist shit around to fit their own agenda and it sucks big time!!

My story

it is really long, so i'm going to tell it in a few parts.

a bit of a background about me.
i'm 31, my parents became witnesses when i was born so they could give me the best upbringing they felt possible.

she's right....there is no truth. truth is just a figment of your imagination based on each individual's own reality. once you and her realise that no belief system can be proven with out a doubt to be right or true then you will be better off. what we are left with are facts, and with facts we can form an OPINION as to what they mean. you will also relise that we learn new facts everyday which in turn mold our belief system. that's why i have vowed never to become stagnant in my belief system, which is exactly what the WTS asks you to do. just think about it.

by Krystal ini am 20 years old and i left the organization when i was 17. there are of course many gorey details which i will not get into right now... but i just wanted to say how happy i am to have found this fourm.
as many of you remember, we were always instructed not to read anything about jehovah's witnesses that wasn't written by the organization.
well, that instruction stuck, and this is the first time i three years that i have dared to even look.. needless to say, i found some very disturbing information.

JW work situation

i run a large profit center and manage over 100 people.
on of my best workers is a dub doing a slow but progressive fade.

pratt....i know this may be a little unprofessional but try and put yourself in the faders shoes. he is probably confused and depressed and may even be very loney. his life outside of work is probably very stressful as he deals with this important time in his life. now he is also bing persecuted at work...this guy can't get a break. most of all this employee needs support!!! i think you should have an informal discussion w/ this employee to let him know that you understand what he is going through and that you are on his side. just knowing that you sympathise with him and can give him great encouragement will help him greatly and his productivity might rebound dramatically. you also need to speak w/ the super-dub and let him know that if he treats the fader differently due to religion that he could be sued. this is how i would address the situation.

ok, so i allways thought that dating someone who used to be a witless would be cool , since you would both kinda know what the other had been through in his/her life.
so my question is: how many of you date/have dated ex-witnesses, why or why not and does the relationship benifit from it...and just your ideas about it in general.. .

by devinsmom inwew, well my divorce is finally...final, as of today and what a long hard road it has been, and unfortunatly more hardships are to come, since we have a child together.
my ex tried to delay it just yesterday by faxing a sloppy handwritten note to the judge, to tell him he couldnt make it because he doesnt have a license,(suspended for dwi) and hasnt attended any of the hearings at all.
he owes me over $5,000 for child support (deadbeat dad).
