ok, apart from all the foresaid, I have one other slant on it:
many young witnessess think that all the world around them are constantly shagging, going to orgies and swapping wives, sacrificing children to the Devil, etc. When some leave, they go off the rails and become porn stars or just very, er .... sexually active. Mean while, the ones still in let off steam by flirting, etc a.k.a. playing with fire.

is it proper for a witnesses to call a nonwitness at 11:00 at night while she is taking a bubble bath?.

me, i opened an assortment of colorful packages this afternoon, chocolates, chocolates and more chocolates .. two books, one on ancient egypt and the other a guide to bush tucker plants, two videos, one the moulin rouge, the other the hitchikers guide to the galaxy, a galileo pendulum lol, one of those profile pin art things and various perfumes and bathing equipments.. give?

What if there was not DFing of apostates?

Yes, I agree. I was not disfellowshipped for apostacy, and can state as a fact (because the Watchtower published this) the majority of disfellowshippings are for immorality.
Am I an apostate now? Well if I am, it has only come about many years after being disfellowshipped, having spent some time wishing to return to the org.

I don't know exact figures but our fuel over here is several times more expensive than over there. Don't see any witnessing from cars here.
Also, I don't suppose they've considered what damage they're doing to the environment by doing that? -

A Question no one can answer?
by moman ina long, long, time ago, when, i waz in dubland,i asked a question to a coulpe of fellow dubs.
the "question" got me a lot of strange looks & a little "shunning" to boot.
it waz later spread around i waz boasting of having, "a question no one can answer"which of course, waz not true.. my question: if every decision one makes iz based on heredity & environment,things we originaly have no choice over, do we really have a choice or free will?.

mindchild, I liked your comments about the subconcious. I was watching a programme the other day about the mind. They were doing an experiment looking at brain activity and reaction times, and it turned out that part of the brain was peeking in activity milliseconds prior to the stimuli being presented which was supposed to cause the volunteer to react. It seemed that part of the brain "knew" when the stimuli was about to be shown, as if it was ahead in time. weird.

Can you answer this?(scientific question)
by sleepy inhere is and interesting question which touches on some points raised in other posts.. can things really move?.
if you haven't thought about it before it may seem like a stupid question, but i'll try to explain.. one of the principles of quantum physics is that things do not get infinatly smaller.there is a granuality to objects so at some point things don't get any smaller.. the same holds with energy if you take energy out of a system you can not go on forever .eventually you hit absolute zero were every thing is still.. in the other direction , the speed of light is an absolute limit.. so what happens if you make smaller and smaller movements eventually you would stop.but what is the next smallest movement between being stopped and moving?.
if we put some figures on it it may make it easier.. if to be stoped is 0 and the next possible amonut of movment is 1 you could not move say 1/2 as that is smaller than 1 and if you could keep dividing forever like this you would never reach absolute standstill.. so like the particals in the universe movment has to be granular as well.made up of definate jumps though very tiny.. if this is the case then there is a problem how does one object , if we imagine the smallest to be a quark jump from one place to another is it technicaly the same object or a new one ?.
