by ballistic ini've just realised it's really easy to get email addresses of witnesses by searching sites which host personal web space.
what are your views on sending out mailings and what kind of info would you send and do you think it's right (i noticed many of the pages appear to be jw children).
any thoughts?

yeah, the thing is, the method I have found of automatically harvesting email addresses from a search of web sites containing "jehovahs witness" at a given URL such as an ISP members homepages simply collects ALL email addresses from pages containing that text regardless of page content / age of person, etc.
Thats why I wanted to hear peoples opinions. -

12/15/2001 WT; Christmas ok if married to non-JW?
by Alleymom ini was wondering if someone has the full text of the article on p.28 of the 12/15/2001 wt, in the questions from readers?.
i understand that there is an article which appears, to some, to indicate a softening of attitude regarding christmas.
i'm told that it is now ok for a jw wife married to a non-jw husband to participate in some family christmas activities as long as she doesn't regard this as an act of worship.. i would really like to have a copy of the exact wording.. many thanks!.

Double Lives and Disfellowshipping
by joelbear inwe read a lot on here of the high number of witnesses, young and old, who have lived or are living double lives so that they will not be disfellowshipped and lose their social and family support structures.. we all know the mess this makes in people's lives and psychological health.. to me its an interesting by product of man trying to be god's policemen.
it doesn't work.
its a poorly constructed manmade plan that people just figure out a way to get around for the most part.. clean organization indeed.

I agree with you about double lives. The subject comes up a couple of times in my story which I posted recently. I think it maybe the product of trying to live by impossible standards, and the result can be pretty scarey - a major head fk. -

I would seriously consider leaving the borg. You will feel happier, healthier and will have 5 hours of meetings and maybe 5 of service and study a week to surf as much porn as you like.
