  Does God love JOB?

  i have a sort of question.

  i have never been able to put together the saying god is love, and the story of job.

  i mean, here is a guy, who has spent his entire life in service of his god, no man on earth loves god as much as job.

  I have never been able to put together the saying GOD is Love, and the story of Job. Anyone else here got that as well? I mean, here is a guy, who has spent his entire life in service of his God, no man on earth loves God as much as Job. And then some mean person like Satan comes along, walks into a meeting up in heaven (a meeting, what?, why would God need a meeting?) And this Satan says to God, well, off course Job loves you, look at how rich he is. And then God says well, uhm, yeah, but, well, you know, just take everything away from him, thatll show you he really loves me I mean WHAT is that?! God is supposed to protect his servants, and he is supposed to be almighty so he could have just said look Satan, just shove it, Job is okay.

  And what really baffles me is that talking to some JW (like my grandma) they can just justify that for themselves. I mean, How can they do that?!?

  Edited to say that this actually happened to me, I was giving Job as an argument against the GOD is Love and just hit a JW wall.

  Solid facts? Well, there are plenty to be found. Have you read Ray Franz "Crisis of Conscience", Or M. J. Penton "Apocalypse delayed". There is also a whole lot on the internet, links to newspapers etc. What exactly do you want to find out? When I started investigating I was searching mostly for the history on false prophesies, hence the titles I gave you.

  have you ever noticed how you seem to go from one mess to another?

  without going into the details just yet....i have just spent the last 6 months getting my head together and getting back on my own two feet after leaving my husband and i have now managed to stop myself in my tracks and f**k up once again.

  i dunno what to do.....im feeling pretty low and desperate at the moment and worst of all....lost.

  i have had skyye vodka, made in good old california, san fran to be exact.

  ketel one is from holland and it seems to be smoother than stoly.... now i have heard that even texas makes a vodka?

  Been to Russia a few weeks ago, and we drank the stuff that's sold on the streets. Almost pure alcohol, burned your insides away, tasted awful, but man...did it get us drunk.

  Question for all Jw.com

  i dont know if you been asked this before but what made you give up your religious beliefs,i assume that not all on here were jehovahs witnesses so if you were not please say.well i will telll you why i left, i got baptised as a jw 2 yrs ago and then started to notice say 6 months after baptism that the followers didnt really heed the what they were being taught it didnt seem to motivate them in their hearts, to say display genuine love it was more like a routine to them to be at meetings,talk to same ones,read watchtowers,it seemed so mechanical like robots,im not saying this is what caused me leave because i was serving genuinely i was really interested in practising what i preached,but i found it hard because everyone wasnt trying to do the samething.so then gradually i started to question things and then i got the internet last year and was itching to look on these so called apostate sites,you see i wanted to prove these sites wrong but in the end i was proved wrong with things like prophecies,jws past history,etc.

  Hehe, funny you should mention Braveheart! After almost three days straight hanging around this board (I am seriously addicted), I had this sudden urge to see that movie. [Sigh], at the ending when he says "They fought like warrior-poets, they fought like Scotsmen, and won their FREEDOM" Ahhh, goosebumps all over.

  My first quote means "He who fears death, even loses the life he has". And the second one means "As long as we live, let us LIVE".
