Are the Witnesses Really Losing Their Young People?

that article about jehovah's witnesses having the lowest retention rate for born ins keeps popping up every now again ... i'm just curious if any of you have noticed that this is actually the case.

in the congregation that i grew up in, i'm going to say that 95% of the young people in their teens to mid twenties are either regular pioneering, regular auxiliary pioneering, serving in foreign language congregations or where the need is greater.

both of my younger sisters are regular pioneers - and the young people in their hall even organize 8 pm to midnight service on friday nights of their own accord.

The youngsters are all over the internet. How can they NOT know TTATT?

They give fake names for Twitter and Facebook like "Raptor" then lock the account down so only approved (IE not parents) people can follow them.

What are they hiding?

I saw the son of an elduh not long ago going out on Sat night. Black 18 hole Doc martens with yellow laces, filthy ripped skin tight jeans, grubby T shirt with rip to show abit of nipple and some belly. He got his cellphone out and answered, "I'll be there in a few minutes."

He either ignored, or didnt recognise me. But I dont think he was going out to meet a lovely witless lady dressed as Gay Skuzz Tottie.

The young ones are just playing a part as long as they are at home. They know the deal. Once they move out and get place of their own and a job, the kINGDUMB hELL can take a running jump.

look at that first photo.. don't those books look eerily like wt literature?.

the ones in the top 2 rows look exactly like the last of the hard-bound "thin" yearbooks.

Those books were produced using the same bookbinding technology the WTBTS bought.

If you go to the Dawnbible.com website all the litterature there looks like it was printed by the Witchtower. Same computer type setting system. It was sold to IBM in the 80s for a huge profit.

What I want to know is why the WT was printing bibles for other sects?

i stay at my grandmother's house and pay a little rent to her (r500) as it is all i can afford.

i do however buy and take care of all my own food, washing etc.. this morning at 6 am, my bedroom door opend, slammed shut, heard the key turn a couple of times, open and slam shut again.

i woke up with a fright as that has never happened....first thought is someone is in the house.

I gather it is possible to accrue a qualification in TEFL by doing night classes?

This whole issue is so complex that i cannot see how imams priests and elduhs can make a good decision based on stone age moralities passed down in garbled words.

Modern medicine and psychiatry is far more aware of what is going on.

And as for the Gibbering Buddies or window cleaners or cheese and cracker men - what do they even remotely know that qualifies them to throw the first stone.

Google ASL poetry. It will give you many moving and joyful things. To think that at one time those born deaf were viewed as subhuman....
