  Evolution of Turtle shells

  you might have read about this over the last day or two, i was going to add this to the "common ancestry" thread, i considered it somewhat off topic as it is more to do with evolutionary transition.. the shells of turtles and tortoises have always been a bit mystery for evolutionery biologists.

  a turtle shell is not a single structure but a complex one made up from the fused bones analogous to the ribs and vertebrae of other vertebrates.

  these bones in effect form a pseudo exoskeleton.

  interesting that in the novels "i claudius" and "claudius the god", when claudius (now emperor) herod, his friend until then had declared himself a god, and apparently somebody confirmed that he had been born in bethlehem, and therefore saw himself as the nations messianic leader.. what ancient source is this from?.

  YHWH was a minor Canaanite Deity. One fo the 70 Sons of EL. His portion among the 70 divisions of mankind, as listed in Genesis were the "Sons of jacob"

  So yes Like all gods of that time he was given a name.

  Do some research on the Ugaritic Texts found in the 1930s, it is fascinating.

  the noolite in the july study rag, is that all the annointed will be in heaven when armageddy starts.. they already proved from the scriptures that there is not going to be a rapture of annointed.

  (as a study pointed out they would "never" go back to a teaching they had disproved with the babble).

  since mark sanderson is about 48, is in beth hell and receives the very best of health care, we can count on him living until at least 70 - 80. unless he dies of cancer or obesity or an accident.

  SEP - I agree with your point about the "GATHERING" sounding like Thess.

  I wanted to point out that a Study many years ago said that if they had thoroughly DISPROVED something from the scriptures, they would never go back to it, as it would be like a dog returning to its vomit. My implication being that they are indeed about to return to the "VOMIT" of a rapture teaching.

  I dont have the litterature anymore, so cannot find the quote.

  Any takers for that job?

  He started taking the emblems in his 20s. If other annointed are that young, we have a LONG time to wait for them all to croak their last breath.

  Personally I think that they will adopt a rapture theology, as they can then include the "maybe tomorrow" death threat, and ratchet up the fear and tension.

  Do you think these ideas are at the back of the mind in the congos? Why they are slacking, despite the increased death threats in the Litterature. (eg WT study: "What will you do to keep Living?" - subscript : God is going to slaughter you, how can you kiss his a$$hole fast enough?)

  .....after 8 years of us being disfellowshipped.

  the made contact through my aunt who is still 'in' - as in she has faded but is not disfellowshipped and will pop to a meeting now and again - she does this for my grans' sake.. the contact was from my aunt and uncle (he's an elder) these were the 2 witnesses used against me in my judicial case.

  they contacted my aunt and said to forward the message onto us.

  i will admit that i have joined two a little while back just to see what kind of a response i would get.

  it is so difficult to meet new people in that: 1) work - there are now 4 men in all - 2 married old cronies and 2 younger guys that are just a no.

  2) i have a lot of gay friends so when we go shake our bom boms it's usually at a gay club - 99.9% of the men there are gay 3) friends of friends are usually involved.

  Not all of them are like that.

  Try match.com, and even an older one Dateline. They match people on their profile and compatibility.

  I know people who ended up married, and every body said they had at least one date with a person who was not boring, even if it came to nothing.

  You are in a dark place at present, and though you said you are starting to feel a bit better, I would hold off dating for a little while. If you are not reasonably happy in yourself another person will not give you that.
