by Simon inthe main premise of the bible is that satan challenged jehovahs authority and humans fell for the lie so god then gave man / satan a chance to rule to "prove" that they needed him and couldn't do it themselves.
this was for the benefit of the angels watching who are presumably easily swayed too.. not really believable and some stunning gaps of logic but let's go with it for now.. what happened next in the bible?

The CO and his wife have no home
by not bitter ini know some have a flat or apartment that they can go to on the odd week off but i believe that the majority have no base to call home.. my parents have the co and wife stayng this week again and i asked my mum about it.
she says that if they do get the any time off they go to her mothers to stay but thats only every few months.
i just can't imagine having to live out of a suitcase in someone elses home constantly.. how to they not crack up.

Invites, Parking and the DC - a true laughable story
by wizzstick ini'm in a major uk city, and we're assigned to an out of city location for our district convention.. to set the scene this site is off a busy motorway (freeway).
it's a football (soccer) stadium.
there is nothing around aside from one petrol (gas) station which also has a tiny supermarket in it.

I also remember the LONNNG walk back after the evening sessions (they still had them then) with adults desperately singing Kindumb Songs to jolly us on when we were dead on our feet.

I dont agree - with the very early average marriagable age of the Dubbies, a CO's wife has to have gone along with it. More and more it is the "School For Christian Couples" where the selections are made. Even the now defunct Gilead ended up as a couples club where only couples were selected, presumably with the female "attachment" allowed in case HE molested children, or copulated with occasional boys or married sisters.
(Or - JEHOOBIE FORFEND!!!! - pleasured himself)
A friend of mine visited NY many years ago and went for lunch with a young sister.
She ACTUALLY asked him "What are your ambitions with regard to the Truth? I want to be a Circuit overseers Wife."
Having testimony on this board that some women say "I am the CO's wife so I can < insert relevant verb>" we know that they see it as giving them status, much as the dumb blondes in the world are attracted to the rich and powerful.
One CO was a single man for many years, then he was roped in buy an Uber- elderette. He looked dreadful after a few months, and died a couple of years later.
Did the WT care for his widow?????????
The sad thing is a Co's wife can only get mad. She cannot get everything if it goes tits up.

If they are living that way it is by their choice.
They wanted the position and perceived prestige it brought. After years of counselling others badly on life choices (education, savings etc)
Why shouldnt they pay the same price? I dont feel sorry for any of them.

There are times when I wonder why the Babble portrays Jehoobie in a "masculine" light.

I came across a local cheese near Sophia-Antipoulis near Cannes: Chat-urse. I still dream about it...
Hard british Cheeses are good: Cheshire, Wensleydale, Caerphilly, Lancashire.
Emmental is great with good vine tomatoes. Did you know that the holes in Swiss and some French Cheeses are because it is cooked? The steam trapped as it sets and cools.
All soooo fattening though...
