i just can't believe it.

i read all the post on silentlambs website and all the so called "worldy" people and "apostates" with a few exceptions we very nice in the way they posted.. the jw's on the other hand we like a pack of wolves.

not one nice thing to say.

A biblical story lesson on how the real message in the Word is used by the Lord's people. The spirits rebelling against God and insisting on a lie to satisfy their pride simply cannot be accomodated by Moses' camp. Their blood (spiritual life - forgiveness) is spilt rather than kept (they rebel). It's just the way it is.

It seemed apt.

I believe the WTS has God's spirit

.....although in a very small amount.

in fact i beleive that many religions today have a measure of god's spirit.

the more i take time to really meditate and think about the bible and the world that we live in, it becomes more apparent to me that it would'nt make sense for god to destroy honest people simply because they are not associated with the wts.

i've only just been told of a case of suspected child abuse at the local hall.. the child (aged 4) was alone with the abuser.

she told her mother, who told the elders.

the elders and mother immediately informed the police, despite the fact that there was only one witness - the child.. then the elders proceeded to inform families in the congregation so that they can be on their guard.

Yes I'd have to wonder about that. Don't think I'd be askin him round to any kiddy parties myself.

I suppose it depends on what/how the child says it.
I still have to wonder what that level of brainwashing could do to even a four year old.

they say that since jws df unrepentant baptized members and insist on jw family members restricting association with df members that jws try to break up families.

what do you think about this charge?.

Family Values

if a family member is df....or whatever....if jw are supposed to be christian....why do the cut you off....god is a loving god who loves all his children...and why is it that you have to go through an "exit" interview...like its a job or something?

there are many unanswered question i have...but this is just one of them to start...it seems to me that its hypocritical...

Why a JW family member is traumatic to non JW?

i was raised in a very religiously strict christian home, and have been presbyterian or baptist my whole life.

i have heard nothing but bad things about the jw's.

just recently i have gotten very interested in in learning more about jw, and possibly becoming one.

I'm not suprised about that, and it's not suprising that a "strict Christian" upbringing has not "done it" for you.

If you can't figure out what is written in the Bible, but you don't really want to give up all that you have:
And you are worried about the afterlife yet you can't figure out why 'other people' are bad:
And you don't even consider such things as the plight of the native's descendants whose land was "purchased" for you to be comfortable (they also worshipped One Spirit)
Then you are exactly who they are there for.

God and Bible?
I certainly do not like their god (understatement) and I do not use their bible.

"They will freak, because they won't understand."

They may not understand your newfound zeal for spirituality, but they'll understand that you're being taught life by hypocrits.

Why give up what your heart first heard from the Spirit?

Your talking about a child who -

1) Has been taught that to lie for the 'right' reasons is divine.

2) Has heard that there are evil pedophiles 'among them'.

3) Thinks that God is guiding her.

4) Trained to think themself so special that everyone else deserves to die.

Who knows if the child's lying? The child sure doesn't.

They've done it to themselves, if an expert says 'not guilty, it's a mistake' they'll probably blame the child.

I need help/info on other religions vs the WTS

over the past week since i've announced that i was stepping down i have had a few conversations with my family, and against my better judgement i mentioned that i was having doubts.

invariably almost every discussion about the jw religion eventually boils down to the argument that only witnesses are doing this or that.

unfortunately this is a weak part of my debate, i have only been associated with the jw religion so i have very little information on what other religions beleive and practice.

The WT religion is unlike others (I won't say all others) mainly because they think that they can earn their way to heaven. This is THE fundamental rift that can't be patched over. In this light they simply can't understand the scriptures - and never will.

It forms the irreconcilable position - that the gift is somehow earned, and deep down ther's a belief that they actually deserve it (pride). Do they ever really mean "Lord, I am not worthy to have you enter under my roof"? (after all that service?)

The irreconcilable position is that of joining the image of a beast - an unreal dictator. They actually think Jesus descended to hell and preached condemnation there (of course they were bad - unlike themselves). Such a bizarre fear-biting nature should be corrected in an animal let alone a person.

It's the same position held by Esau and Judas - sorry for loss. They lost in an imaginary deal, because they didn't perform as good as they thought they had to for earning heaven, and couldn't cope with the loss. They never got it - just like the wtbts.

Nothing will repair the place while that is there, and it's founded on it.

Okay, This is a bit "weird"

i'm not a person who is what some may call a "nut".

i have a pretty firm grip on reality.

i don't post any "weird" posts, or go in to any flakey discussion or such.

Here's weird.
When I was younger someone showed me a book. I read it and in part of it, it included me. A close friend saw it too - but it disappeared. In fact the person who gave it to us disappeared (into the corner of the house somehow). We still talk about it when we see each other.

A couple of things I remember from it were prophecies that came true, such as who would be a certain world leader. Also, it said that I would bear a mark, which appeared on me after a shower one day - although briefly - an unusual mark. Twenty years later my son was born with the same mark - he had it for years.
