i've tried in the last few months to rely on my faith in god to carry me through the bad hand that life has dealt me, and for the most part i have managed to carry on with my sanity in order.
i do however have one question that i can't answer and therefore wish to ask you all if you have any clue as to the answer.. the love of my life died and the only consistant reason i get from my reading of the sciprture and my conversations with "religious" persons is that god had a higher purpose for calling my love to heaven.
this only begs of me to ask the question, if the lifestyle my love was leading was so adverse to god's commandments, then why would he want to call him to a higher purpose?
Maybe it is you who is being called to a higher purpose Kevin. The love of your life could not be in kinder hands.

i have a problem..i have been df'd for like 6 or 7 years i lose count but point is my parents are still stuck in the alternate dimension called jw and they seem to think that there is still a "chance" for me.
lol..funny shit i think but anyway, the town i live in just happens to house some of my friggin elder pop's elder friends...like i thought when i got df'd that meant they would leave me alone but now that i have a wife and kid that arent jw related at all my parents seem to think that my wife will "convert" i trust my wife better than that and i know that there is no way that she would ever do that..she is as cynical as i am..my prob is that they have infiltrated me at my work and i dont want to have to be an asshole about it but i just need them to leave me be...anybody got any ideas on things i can do shy of buying a fully automatic weapon and perching myself on my front doorstep?

I taught my son stories as well as how kind God is. Now he knows. Here's one of them.
Long ago someone looked up at the stars and thought, "How are those lights!" and having a piece of paper and a pencil he wrote down the patterns. When turning his head he soon realised that he could use them to find the way in the dark. He thought, "We can teach our children to use them and go places", and so some people learned and became navigators.BangOne night clouds obscurred some lights and after being lost for a fair while a proud novice thought to himself, "Those navees are stupid", and after sometime he thought that the lights were monsters' eyes. When he found his way somewhere he was excited how the monsters didn't hurt him. The next day he figured, "Those monsters must be going to get the navigators!". He told everyone not to listen to any navigators, that they were evil and were going to be monster food.
Not having heard a good explanation, other people believed it, and naturally they tried not to look like the navees. Then someone else simply couldn't abide looking at those monster food navees any longer so he started at them himself, and the navigators said, "Hey! Enough already with the monstering! They're lights ya funny mental person!".
Now they were offended as well. By now inquisitive people found out the lights were stars. After hearing that, many people saw an excuse not to be getting involved and they said, "Stars aren't lights and people who watch them are just strange".
Even today though, many navigators in different clubs agree that the starlight is a gift and they enjoy free thinking. Other people deny that navigating makes for freedom, but maybe they haven't tried navigating without a pattern yet.

but think about this: god created all things, and god is perfect.
Well, it is about opposites I suppose. There is, so there is not. We all have freedom of will, and with it we may reject what is in favour of what is not. Evil is anti what is - antilife - antitruth - antichrist - antisocial - antilight - pretty much all the opposite. We are either for Him (truly for life) or against Him (for what is false).
Sin is the alienating behaviour that results from choosing what is not truth, evil. By eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil man took on board the false idea, which is that you know right from wrong, or what is good or corrupt, independent of Him. Then it was for love of us that He kerbed us living forever independently. To see us living forever in darkness of mind was grieving to see - we are greater than the other animals.
Who can bear seeing loved ones living a lie? Isn't that why people post on this board? What grief it causes, and how much suffering is too much when knowing a good outcome - is it no amount?
The antitruth or nothingness is inherrant to the current worldly man. The choice for nontruth comes from other than God, "and without Him was Nothing made that Was made". We and the evil or opposite one labour the corruption of creation - we should enter the Sabbath, at least have Sundays off it.
Evil doesn't necessarily know, and may even deny, that it's evil, becoming bound - a lie about a lie - "loose him and let him go" etc. Evil is the movement toward the dark, or death - but He overcame death for us, after man chose it - nothing is impossible for Him.

i've been thinking about this.
The meal should be considered also.
Typically I would think of the meal as Christ (Christ in Spirit), and also His Father is just like Him, and the Holy Spirit.
But if one were considering three religions, wouldn't the main three be christianity, islam and buddhism, or the types of? (And christianity is the fulfillment/continuation of judaism)
With christianity we have Christ, the Father and the Spirit.
With islam we have the Father and the Spirit (Christ in Spirit).
With buddhism we have the Spirit and Christ in Spirit.
Whichever way you look at it there are 'two or three metrice a piece'.

now that i am out i have a hard time understanding why people accept these changes from the society as "new light" and than view it as "truth.".
when i remember reading the scripture that "satan blinds the minds of the unbeliever.

I think there's many different reasons.
- Too scared of a nasty god to consider reason
- Impressed by grandeur and power (the armageddon ideas etc)
- Competition lifestyles
- Unwarranted belief in self goodness (everyone else is 'evil')
- A religion that doesn't require giving up material things (babylon), but engages proselysing instead (easier on the flesh)
- Unwarranted belief in intelligence (knowledge of God etc)
There's heaps of reasons, each to their own.

I'll have to say that there's three.
