My question is: How can the Watchtower apply 1 Cor. to the earthly hope JW's, convincing them they are unworthy to eat and drink, when at the time of this scriptures writing there was only the heavenly hope? Also 1 Cor. was written c.56 and Revelation was written c.96, therefore the 144,000 number wasn't even thought of by anyone. IMO the Watchtower took a simple scripture that was written to correct an abuse of the Lord's supper and turned it into a decree of limitation for JW's. How does the Watchtower wiggle around this?
so, the two local congregations were planning to hold their memorial together at 7:30 at the local community center, but they had to make a last-minute change to their own hall, and i'm pretty sure it was because of me.. let me explain.... at work on monday afternoon, a co-worker returned from her lunchbreak and showed me the memorial invitation that was waiitng in her door when she went home for lunch.
i noticed the sticker on the back indicated the memorial was being held, not at the local hall, but at the community center.
from a past (non-jw) event i attended there, i knew they didn't allow alcohol (unless you pay for security guards), so i wrote to the center's coordinator:.

i've just been watching a youtube video that reveals the new assembly hall in orangeburg, sc.. two things struck me when watching it.... firstly, everything is attributed to jehovah, right down to deciding the location where the hall is to be built.
"we examined over 300 properties," said one interviewee, "we were reminded that jehovah knew where the site was, we just had to keep looking and show him that we were persistent.
" other workers interviewed throughout the video attribute everything to god, as though it is impossible to build anything without divine direction.. here is the video.... .

The hall is a beautiful building, just like the many churches through out
