A member of a certain Kingdom Hall, who previously had been
attending meetings regularly, stopped going. After a few weeks, an elder
decided to visit him.

It was a chilly evening. The elder found the man at home alone,
sitting before a blazing fire. Guessing the reason for the elders visit,
the man welcomed him, led him to a comfortable chair near the fireplace and
waited.

The elder made himself at home but said nothing. In the grave
silence, he contemplated the dance of the flames around the burning logs.
After some minutes, the elder took the fire tongs, carefully picked up a
brightly burning ember and placed it to one side of the hearth all alone.
Then he sat back in his chair, still silent. The host watched all this in
quiet contemplation. As the one lone ember's flame flickered and
diminished, there was a momentary glow and then its fire was no more. Soon
it was cold and dead.

Not a word had been spoken since the initial greeting. The elder
glanced at his watch and realized it was time to leave. He slowly stood up,
picked up the cold, dead ember and placed it back in the middle of the
fire. Immediately it began to glow, once more with the light and warmth of
the burning coals around it.

As the elder reached the door to leave, his host said with a tear
running down his cheek, "Thank you so much for your visit and especially
for the fiery sermon. I shall be back at the Kingdom Hall next meeting."

the door to door work is a sham.. the central activity of the watchtower bible and tract society is not spreading their so-called "messege" about the kingdom of jehovah established in the heavens in 1914. that's a load of propaganda.. the door to door activity is feckless in producing converts.

in fact, it is an immense failure of mammoth proportions!.

but, it is a diversion.

Why don't they just use "Worldy" publishing companies?

Do any other religions have huge publishing businesses?

Did not Jesus authorize his apostles to forgive sins?

When an individual wrongs his fellowman or when he has been wronged

Matt. 5:23, 24: "If, then, you are bringing your gift to the altar and you there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar, and go away; first make your peace with your brother, and then, when you have come back, offer up your gift."

Matt. 18:15: "If your brother commits a sin, go lay bare his fault between you and him alone."

Luke 17:3: "If your brother commits a sin give him a rebuke, and if he repents forgive him."

Eph. 4:32: "Become kind to one another, tenderly compassionate, freely forgiving one another just as God also by Christ freely forgave you."

When someone becomes involved in serious wrongdoing and

Jas. 5:14-16: "Is there anyone [spiritually] sick among you? Let him call the older men of the congregation to him, and let them pray over him, greasing him with oil in the name of Jehovah. And the prayer of faith will make the indisposed one well, and Jehovah will raise him up. Also, if he has committed sins, it will be forgiven him [by God]. Therefore openly confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may get healed."

Prov. 28:13: "He that is covering over his transgressions will not succeed, but he that is confessing and leaving them will be shown mercy."

What if persons who commit sins do not seek help?

Gal. 6:1: "Brothers, even though a man takes some false step before he is aware of it, you who have spiritual qualifications try to readjust such a man in a spirit of mildness, as you each keep an eye on yourself, for fear you also may be tempted."

1 Tim. 5:20: "Reprove before all onlookers [that is, those who personally know about the matter] persons who practice sin, that the rest also may have fear."

1 Cor. 5:11-13: "Quit mixing in company with anyone called a brother that is a fornicator or a greedy person or an idolater or a reviler or a drunkard or an extortioner, not even eating with such a man. . . . 'Remove the wicked man from among yourselves.'"

Percentage of men who don't wash hands after pooing

i just left my work desk to go to the rest room.

this guy came out of the stall and clearly just finished his business and didn't wash his hands.

i see this a lot.

I wash my hands 100%of the time after pooing. After peeing I will admit that 35% of the time I do not wash.

This is one of those subjects that no one will ever admit they are guilty of doing.

Here's a gross side note I try not to think of. How do you think you are able to smell that stench coming from the stall? That's right tiny s_ _ t molecules entering you nasal cavities.

I would have never realized that this scripture means avoid apostate and pornography web sites.

That FDS is amazing when it comes to interpretting scriptures.

JW's must be finally realizing that the elders can't see them surfing the web.

The internet is the Watchtowers worst nightmare!!

i won't go into details.. family is split down the middle by jw,s.. whats irritating is now that he's dead jw side of family is saying we'll see him in paradise said prayer for him and acting like he was jw but at the same time treating da'ed and faded side of family as evil.. maybe they'll treat us nice after we're dead to yeaaah!!!!.

Randall Waters essay on disfellowshipping has good info I might print some of it to show jw,s

While disfellowshiping for unrepentant gross sins is biblically proper (1 Cor. 5:13), the WT cuts off anyone who disagrees in the slightest with Watchtower policy or teaching; one of the many reasons they are recognized as a cult. (For a full treatment of the Scriptural reasons for disfellowshiping, see the March/June issues of this Newsletter.) To be disfellowshiped by the elders of the Watchtower (even over minor doctrinal issues) means being totally shunned by God as well:

It is a great tragedy for one to be disfellowshiped. For this means a cutting off from Jehovah and his favor. The disfellowshiping action taken by the congregation is merely the confirmation of what has already taken place in the heavens. These visible agents of God [the elders] merely acknowledge what Jehovah has already done in heaven. (emphasis added)

A disfellowshiped person is cut off from the congregation, and the congregation has nothing to do with him. Those in the congregation will not extend the hand of fellowship to this one, nor will they so much as say "Hello" or "Good-bye" to him. (ibid., p.411,412)

[The members of the congregation] will not converse with such one or show him recognition in any way. If the disfellowshiped person attempts to talk to others in the congregation, they should walk away from him. In this way he will feel the full import of his sin. . . . the disfellowshiped person who wants to do what is right should inform any approaching him in innocence that he is disfellowshiped and they should not be conversing with him. (ibid., p.413; emphasis added)

Cuddles discovers that he's lost.. Wandering about, he notices a leopard heading

rapidly in his direction with the intention of having lunch.

The old poodle thinks, "Oh, oh! I'm in deep shit now!" Noticing some bones on the ground close by, he immediately settles down to chew on the bones with his back to the approaching cat. Just as the leopard is about to leap the old poodle exclaims loudly, "Boy, that was one delicious leopard! I wonder if there are any more around here?" Hearing this, the young leopard halts his attack in mid-strike, a look of terror comes over him and he slinks away into the trees. "Whew!", says the leopard, "That was close! That old poodle nearly had me!"

Meanwhile, a monkey who had been watching the whole scene from a nearby tree, figures he can put this knowledge to good use and trade it for protection from the leopard. So off he goes, but the old poodle sees him heading after the leopard with great speed, and figures that something must be up. The monkey soon catches up with the leopard, spills the beans and strikes a deal for himself with the leopard The young leopard is furious at being made a fool of and says, "Here, monkey, hop on my back and see what's going to happen to that conniving canine! Now, the old poodle sees the leopard coming with the monkey on his back and thinks, "What am I going to do now?", but instead of running, the dog sits down with his back to his attackers, pretending he hasn't seen them yet, and just when they get close enough to hear, the old poodle says. "Where's that damn monkey? I sent him off an hour ago to bring me another leopard!

Moral of this story.... Don't mess with old farts..age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill! Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.

I am in no way insinuating that any of you are old, some are just more "youth challenged" than others!!!!

thought i would bump to the top this excellent tape recording of a judicial meeting.

you will find the person "on trial" has bneen a elder himself.

once he realised things were not adding up he ended up disassociating himself along with his wife.
