What unforgiveable sin did you commit to separate yourself from them, the borg? Many of us got out because of the lack of empathy and forgiveness, which should have made us better than they, and willing to forgive them for their lack. Your real question was; would you be willing to compromise that self rightious belief for the real family love Jehovah gave, that no man can take away.

Firm and determined in this time of the end!
by dawg inremember that song, the thousands of examples of good jws standing up to the secular authorities?
we used to sing it "herman's determined" lol!.
i've been a member on this site for almost a year, why is it we allow our loved ones to keep us from taking a stand?

It was never Jehovah that the borg taught us to depend on, through their constant teaching they taught us to be co-dependant, making it hard to let go of the thing that hurts us. Just like an abused child, we begin to think that the abuse is love, and we deserve it.

You are learning how far reaching the mind control of the WT is. It was sound down into his very being and it conflicts, many times unknown to himself, your education into what he learned will be a great help in understanding and unwraveling the web of lies he has been taught

i didn't realize i had never posted the story, so here it is.. last summer (when i went to buy my new camera lens) i ran into one of my favorite jws at the photography shop.

I love your point of beating a child every day for a year. When we are IN the borg our thinking ablities are soooo narrowed that, in striking a match we dont see the fire or feel the heat, the JW mind is shut off after their first dictated action. I still feel the stripes of years of abuse by the hand of the org
Thanks

let's talk about Holy Communion and the WTS "non-communion"
by potentialJWconvertswife inhere's the question: why do the whole memorial thing if (i'm assuming) there will be few or (in most cases) no one actually taking the sacrament?
and what reason does the wts give for saying only anointed can partake?
are there any examples of the disciples administering holy communion to any regular folks?

The must be a reason that the "holy fathers consider this a spurious.
The Didache (Koine Greek: ??da?? , Didache, meaning "Teaching" [1] ; IPA: /'d?d?ki?/ in English, IPA: [ðiða'xi] in Modern Greek) is the common name of a brief early Christiantreatise (dated by most scholars to the early second century), [2] containing instructions for Christian communities. The text, parts of which may have constituted the first written catechism, has three main sections dealing with Christian lessons, rituals such as baptism and eucharist, and Church organization. It was considered by some of the Church Fathers as part of the New Testament [3] but rejected as spurious or non-canonical by others, [4] eventually not accepted into the New Testament canon with the exception of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church "broader canon". The Roman Catholic Church has accepted it as part of the collection of Apostolic Fathers.

I can relate to the welts, I was in the office at school more than once for not dressing for PE because I was too embarassed to take offf my shirt because of the welts, back then it was OK to leave marks on you kids.
At bood study I was supposed to memorize the 66 books of the Bible, I messed up and we left immediatly, we lived a block away and my mom picked up the first thing she could find and started in, when we got home she notice that the stick had a nail in it imagen what my back looked like.

"Holy coommunion" can you show me that in the Bible? Or is it a all the lemings ran off the cliff so that makes it right?
I dissagree with the borgs motive for the memorial, there are those of us who are participants and its done behind closed doors, with two or more present in his name.

There are two lines of recorder thought on wheather Judas partook or not, its personal like all other aspects of ones religion, personal beliefs, those are to be shared not imposed as law. Jesus followed the yearly passover, of which he was the fullfillment and it was done yearly, from his own lips he said to do THIS, (yearly observence) in rememberence of him, once a year is enough for me. Sharing in his blood and flesh once again is personal and the pomp and ceremony created around it by 2000 years of pagan emblishment for showmanship's sake, for me, is unnecessary. The purity of actions and thought are what demonstrats that we are in union with him at this time of remembrance. KISS, the last S is for, "sweetheart".

Transference, thats the word for it..the nature love that she took away from you is now going to be poured out on you child, it is complicated, because it becomes a matter of choices on your part. Depending on where your head and heart are, you can hope the forgiveness you would show her in letting her help with the baby would open her eyes as to what she is doing to you, if it is only a ploy to make your child a new convert, then I would say no. If she can't love her son whom she can see, how can she love Jehovah who she can't? Who has the greater love, you or her? If we wanted to apply what Christ said about causing divison in families then divorce to an unbleiving mate would be advocated, it is not. Those divison are mentioned with all the signs of the time of the end, thats when families will split because of beliefs, and no one knows that time but Jehovah. The preumptousness of the WTS to divide families places a huge blood guilt on them. Our hearts tell us what our God expects on us as individuals, just as an earthly father expects diferent things from each of his individual children, never asking more than they can do.
