Dave while you were gone, Jeremy and Amy had their baby boy they name Jacob Thomas Matthew he weighed 9 pounds and 2 ounces and was 21 inches lone. Mom left for KY on Sunday and will be back on Thursday. Anything change in Martin County I can't believe the trailor is still there. I haven't been there since Mom and Dad moved to Van Lear.
BTW Jeremy is my baby brother and Amy is his wife. and this is their 3rd child. For those who didn't know.

i am a former jw, but i still believe what they do about the holidays?
i have already talked about origins and all that stuff so i wanted to ask something without bringing up scriptual or historical backgrounds for a change.. my question is (whatever your beliefs may be) what % of people who celebrate christmas, if you took the presents out of christmas would still acknowledge christmas as much as they do now?
note: as much.
ok as a lot of you know I wasn't a JW. But to me Christmas is more than celebrating Jesus' birth, It is about celebrating your life and what you have become that year and spending time with family and friends, Since we really don't know when Jesus was born shouldn't we keep Christmas in our hearts all year long not just one day a year. maybe I am wrong but that has always been my theory.

perhaps you have been reading this board for awhile, and you may believe some of the things we have been saying, however you are still gripped in fear of armageddon.. .
the wt society has been predicting armageddon for well over 100 years, and when the prophecies fail, they blame you and say "we never said that".
if i can impart any words of wisdom to you, it's just this:.
Bigmouth, I would have to disagree on one aspect of your post "a Non-witness would not understand the mental games"
I understand perfectly and I am A NON-JW. At first no I didn't understand I wanted to, but Dave kept it away from me. Oh well just thougt you would like to know.
Welcome new ones!!! Take your shoes off and sit down and relax!!! Everything with be ok.

to me there is a definite difference in my generation and the one coming after me, when i graduated you basically had three choices.
military, college or a fulltime job which meant more than 40 and you were expected to grow up, today kids are seen as postponing this for years, it reminds me of the proverbs 29:21 kjv says .
21 he that delicately bringeth up his servant from a child shall have him become his son at the length.. when is it time to push the little birds from the nest and tell them to flap real hard?.
Ok I have to admit, I live with my parents and grandmother at the good old age of 31. But I have responsibilty's I work 2 jobs one full-time and one part-time. I pay my bills and help with grocery's. I clean my own room and help with the dishes and the outside yard work. Since I don't have alot of free time of my own I am busy with other things. But then again my parents put their foot down when I first moved in. And before we moved out here to Grandma's I was paying half the rent. But in your case his butt would have been out for the first two days. Enough is Enough!

i attend a fwb church up in kentucky with my non-jw family.
i really enjoy the church and the people.
am i the only xjw freewill baptist?
one more thing about freewill bapbtist preachers there is alot of shouting and screaming. it really is fire and brimestone on the bull pit. Dave really enjoyed the visits. I usually went cause of him. I enjoy the more soothing sounds of preaching and minstering. I fell in love with a church in Tenn and it was Southern Bapbtist. some of the preachers in a FWB church you want to look at them and smack and remind them to Breathe. LOL.

when i came to this board, i thought that it was for encouragement amoung people who had been treated badly by the wtbts, i did not understand that people were going to come here and bash god, his son and the bible.
i could understand some embitterment over religion but some of you people are down right insulting.
not to mention the fact that i have tried to contact others on the board and have had my messages ignored.. .
Wafe,
I know you have heard this several times before, there is really alot of different people on here. Take me for instance I was never a JW but married one right after he got out. And he has been out for over 13 years now. Granted we are seperated, but that is a whole other thread. I have believed in the Great I AM since the day I was born. My fondest memories are going to church on Sunday mornings when I was able. So you see just because some people don't agree with your thought process, it will be okay. Cause no matter what we all are God's creature's one way or another. And by the way WELCOME TO THE BOARD! KICK OFF YOUR SHOES AND MAKE YOURSELF AT HOME!

i think most of you already know what i have been planning.
i have mentioned it somewhat already.
i have sent bits of pieces of my story to several christian ministries, and they want to know more.

Q-Bert let me explain this to you in simple terms for a simple mind. I WAS NEVER A JW. I was raised as a methodist and was married by a methodist minister. I never knew what a JW was until met Dave. And he kept that from me at first. So I don't owe you an answer or an explaination of how I feel or what I am thinking.
