  everybody can ask you questions about bible prophecy and such, seeing as you and him are so close and all.

  BB stated: religions that make it a practice to become rich from the people will have to answer to God, and people should try to avoid religious leaders such as this.

  Q 1: Are you aware what the WBTS is worth? I learned from this site that they reported to Revenue Canada 26 million in long term investments (why if the end is close? They discourage members from doing this!) and 40 million worth of property in Georgetown. I believe the bottom $ in America was 951 million profit a year!!! Almost 1 billion dollars a year!!!! Why are they not using that $ for something other than book producing? They waste it all on propaganda rather than really help ppl. They are cheap bastards that horde and yet still ask for more from the poor congregations. THEY themselves had a hand in creating alot of poverty amongst their rank and file yet they continue to get richer.

  Q 2: Why did you come back to this site? What is it that pulls you here? Why can't you discuss all of your questions with your loving wonderful insightful openminded knowledgable friends in the congregation? Perhaps you feel closer to US than them????? Now that MUST present a huge conflict inside your heart! THEY are the ones you SHOULD feel close to, but see, it is WE you keep coming to. Why is that???

  I THREW A TANTRUM.......did you?!

  when i realized, i needed to debunk the wts, i threw a tantrum.. the society's appointed elders were responsible for going to court and reversing a restraining order my husband had for sole custody of his children.

  his x-wife threatened to kill them.

  he had a psychiatrist's paper work that she needed mental help.

  Wow, and I thought my story was horrible. Can you somehow go public with this? Newspaper? TV news program? Something? Anything?

  I found out that if you are IN, you are right, if you are OUT, you are wrong. End of story.

  Even though it was my husband that was being charged with abuse, threats and harrassment in court, guess who went into the conference room with the lawyers and my husband before the trial? Guess who went into the court room and 'held my husband's' hand during the trial? YUP THE ELDERS! I had no one from the congregation, only my 'worldly' family and friends and I was not even df'ed at this time.

  This was a turning point for me. I am still so angry, but getting over it.

  i was at university the other night in the computer lab, cruising this site, well a fellow classmate who has been in my class since sept and we have become friends, walks past, looks at the site i am on and says, "i noticed you are on a jw site, did you know i am a jw, are you one?".

  i was shocked.

  i was just having lunch in a wendy's near my house an hour ago.

  an elder and his wife entered and got in line to order without seeing me seated in the eating area.

  after a minute the wife turned and saw me.

  I was shopping once, walked past a "brother", he PUT HIS HAND up to his face, by his eyes and PHYSICALLY shunned me!!!! When I told my JW sisterinlaw that story, she PHONED him and blasted him a good one!

  Anuva: Hi! As we were walking back to class, he said, "We are not a cult, cults are started by one person" I said, "but didn't someone like Rutherford or Russell start your religion" He said, "They are dead now. We don't follow them" I said, "BUT they DID start your religion! One man started it! Don't you see that that kind of info is not discussed in your religion because the roots of your religion DO suggest 'cult'?" He was stumped.

  FM: I am against JW only because I have been so mortified by how I have been treated by them. I am not against other religions because JW are all I have EVER known. I am currently attending a small church, once in a while, for my daughter, other than that, I have no need for church. BUT if I KNEW that ANY church went out of their way to hurt people, lie, decieve and twist scripture to the detriment of ppl then YES I would be against them. If you want to know why I am so hurt by JW, go read my story on freeminds.org It is under the women's section "Pretending". Thank you for sharing your ideas.

  AND yes! This too reminded me that ppl do look at our screens when they walk past, and I knew that he was coming, and he was very quick and sly about checking out what I was doing because I had no clue that he noticed the site. Bold of him to say so too, I thought. This was a dream come true for me, to talk to a JW again like this without the title of 'disfellowshipped' looming over the conversation.It was great!!!! I pray for the opportunity again, I see him again next week, maybe he will say something????

  Sword of Jah: Ok, don't piss off. Stay....sorry about that. I was just so proud of getting confronting a JW and hearing him actually be honest about what they know and don't know and believe in that you caught me off guard. Stay...learn...critize...it is ok...I can take it and would rather have you try to stick up for your beliefs here then leave us.

  As verification: Look at how true his answers ring with so many here AND it is exactly what I would have said before I was an ex-JW!

  THIS IS A TRUE STORY!!! OMG!!!! I am insulted that you think I would fabricate such a lie. Piss off!!! nly shared it because I knew that so many would be interested. I was so shocked to have him invite a conversation like this and I can't believe you would doubt me. Typical JW mindset, "It must not be true"

  we just renounced our belief in the wtbts 2 hors ago,but still love jehovah

  after reading ray franzs 2 books and much information on this site we did a search comparing wt qoutes and had a local elder soon to be circuit ovsr at our house and the funny thing was he was unaware of much of the early wts.he also expressed some doubts when he applied to be a ministerial servant and they sent him back a letter making him an elder.his wife was here and when we brought coc out she jumped up like a person on fire.

  the elder asked where else could we go?so there is doubt amoung the elders for sure.

  i have a sense of loss however cannot support a self proclaimed prophet that is contrary to scriptural teaching and associated with falsehood and bloodguilt.

  Welcome to a life long journey of learning what living really means.

  Your relationship with God might actually improve now that you will no longer follow laws made by men.

  My advice: Don't run right to another religion, take your time, a loss on one side will be a gain on the other. Wait a while and see what that gain will be. Stay here, I could not be as strong if not for the ppl on this board. They are the most loving/intelligent/insightful group I have ever met.

  Marriage question

  i have a question for those who got married in a jw ceremony, or who became jws after being married.

  did the elder marrying you, or those studying with you, counsel you as to what forms of sexual intercourse are acceptable within jehovah's loving organization(tm)?

  just having a "discussion" of sorts on another board and i'm being challenged by a dutiful jw wife.

  Nope, no sex talk at all from elders even though everyone knew I had ran away from home, lived with my first husband and his father in their house, then lived with his grandmother....still let us get married in a KH and never asked, "Have you had sex yet?"
