  Do you witness more now?

  i just got off the phone with a young, x-pioneer, after a lengthy discussion (3+ hours) about the truth about the ?truth!?

  he?s married, with 3 young children, but is very confused as to what to do, as his family hasn?t been activity supporting the kingdumb hall (i.e., borg)!

  i believe, i might be ?witnessing?

  The org is going down----I can feel it!

  my brother called me today.he is 20 ,3 years younger than me,and out of the religion.he still has fear though that it could be true,but thats another story.. he told me he heard my mother and father talking upstairs.my mother said about the org "ive put 26 years into it,i think i'm done with it,i might just go sunday from now on".this is huge ,because she was a devoted nutjob witness.she made my life horrible for the 1st 17 years of my life.i had been trying to suddly tell her the truth about the troof,but i didn't expect this.i'm happy and yet i want to know where she stands with the borganization.. this along with what seems to be an outpouring of similar stories,i have a gut feeling the jehovahs witness mind control cult is on the brink of implosion.everyone is so burdened by it.the jig is up,gb,good riddance when you fold.the rank and file have had enough.my 2 younger sisters are on the edge of mental freedom.i hope they can fully get free of it.. this is a milestone in my families long and strange trip in mental enslavement!!!!!!!!!!!!

  In the days when the globe was not global and a computer with internet access was as common in every household as a tv, each generation would forget all the promises previously made. They just covered up with "the light got brighter," "it was not US, rather the people that became over-zealous" etc. Now they can't do that, things WILL change. The internet, people's mentality about having a 'right' to information, the need for education after highschool and how one must learn to critically analyse there, these things will bring about change. It will be interesting to see what happens......

  Oh, I have known MANY that have left. A die hard sister (unbelieving husband, use to come into the KH and sit there and smoke when I was a kid, she reg pioneered for prob 10 years, dirt poor but kept pioneering, sooooooooooooooooo overly kind to everyone, a real 'example' about how to live selflessly) ANYWAYS, my sisterinlaw just told me that she got df'ed for running off with another guy. Wha? Of course everyone says she had a nervous breakdown and is a little bit mental. lol.

  my wife is getting baptized on the 19th.. i wrote her a letter today.

  basically i asked her why she isn't coming to me to find out my concerns.

  i am the person who has the most invested in her.

  Smashing news. Way to stand up to them. Loved it. Best of luck on getting your wife to slowly see the "truth". Maybe start feeding her with real life stories about df'ed ones. Many on freeminds.org and the one that stuns me is the lady from bethel that got df'ed for exposing the pedophile issue. Others here can help you out on where to find that story. Anyways, best to you.

  Ok, now you all have me really paranoid. How do I know that the organization isn't monitoring this site?! How do I know they haven't taken my previously displayed personal information and used it to try to find out who this "opposer" is trying to keep his wife from getting baptized?

  Have you seen where ppl here post from? All over the world. The logistics of finding YOU are practically impossible. Why would they even care? They have their men at a congregation level perfecting the art of manipulation directly to her, why would they waste time "looking" for you. There must be thousands of situations like you, You are being waaay too paranoid.

  Getting baptised as one of JW is like swallowing a candy coated pill, but after the sweet candy coating melts away, you are left sucking on a piece of highly addictive, unmeltable poison that slowly kills your soul, brain cells and heart.

  How Far Would You Have Gone To Prove Your Loyalty To The Organization?

  would you make sure that your child was deprived of one, too?

  would you have turned in your own family member to the elders?..........just how far would you have gone in showing allegiance to the cult?

  so, for those who believe the bible, who are these people and what scripture would back that?.

  Holly: The "whole world was destroyed by the flood". What did "they" know of the 'world'? Only their immediate locale, certainly they did not know about all the other continents that existed, nor even how vast the middle east was. Europeans began to settle North America in the late 1400s, early 1500s. My point is: the 'world' at that time was very small to the writers of the bible, even though there were other people/continents that did exist.

  There could have been a flood that covered a large area, but to them, it would SEEM to be the whole world. They would be right bec it was all they knew at that moment in history.

  So this scripture, "In the last days there will be a witness to all the inhabited earth...and then the end will come." referred to what? What was the "inhabited earth" at that time? Who was Jesus talking to? Can such ancient prophesies be applied to our day?

  IMO: Crazy to rely that heavily on such an ancient book written by ancient people that had ancient ideas about everything.

  mkr, you are right on. That is exactly how I feel. To hell with debating forever the doctrines of different religions...fact is...THIS religion may be worse than all others and for my eternal salavation (if there is one), I CANNOT in all good conscience be associated with such an organization. If God is going to destroy 'Babylon the Great' and all those associated with it, ask yourself if you are positive it does not apply to JW's.
  

  At least other religions TRY to practice love. GOD IS LOVE. Basic to me. JW TRY hard to practice hate, foster hate, roll in it and stink of it. They rub their hands in glee over the 'impending' Armageddon where billions will be..yippeeeeee..killed by God! Bye bye to evil men, women, children, babies, etc. Because that, despite their attempt at their current attempt at political correctness, is what they really believe. All Non-JW's are going to be murdered by God.

  I cannot turn a blind eye to the glaring wrongs of this organization and only look at the sugarcoating on the poisonous candy, anymore, but if you can.....none of my business.
