I am not an active witness, but have fairly regular contact with active witnesses, not so active and even elders and their wives occasionally. I have yet to hear any one of them mention anything whatsoever about the subject of paedophilia, However, I'm not so sure that it's not the case of just sweeping it under the carpet or not!

Living life on the outside!!!
by haujobbz insince leaving the jws faith i have become a very naughty boy.
since i left i have started to lie and not care,i swear a lot,i have even stolen something like a choccy bar or drink,.
i suppose i feel mislead and have become a very rebellious boy, i wonder if any of you have experienced these changes in your personality.. but what pees me off , is say there is a god and hes watching me, i suppose im dead meat in his eyes due to being an unrepentant sinner.. so what would you do lead a life independent of god and do what you like when you want or would you take a chance and be good and assume there might be a god and hope to go to heaven or wherever.. but i am very happy thank goodness.

I left because of all the hypocrisy, lack of love, outright lies and quite frankly I got worn out with it all!

MORE STUFF JW'S CAN'T DO.......
by minimus inawake of 10-8-02 brings out a number of things that good christians would avoid due to god's view of how precious a gift , life is.
here's some of the things on the list....no bullfighting, no running of the bulls,no motorcycle stuntmen, no climbing of skyscrapers without safety equipment, no steep snowboarding, bungee jumping, parachuting from airplanes with another strapped to you, no climbing ice-covered cliffs, no sky surfing,no base jumping, no rock climbing,no car-surfing,no climbing mt.
everest, no thrill-seeking.....any that do such things show contempt for the marvelous gift of life......did i forget anything else??

What about isolating yourself from anything that is to be considered normal aside from what a minority of self-righteous, bigoted few say?
Is it not detrimental to one's health to continually strive to change the real person into something somebody else deems it necessary to be?....Putting on the new personality? Continue putting up with one another? etc, etc!

At the last big assembly I attended............(I was already getting pissed off with it all by then),I was trying to find seats near the "mothers room", in such a caring and loving organisation you would think this would not be such a hard thing to do! Ha, wrong.! Every single seat in that area had bags and books strewn across the aisles and travel rugs right along the rows! No evidence whatsoever that these seats were taken by other mothers with babes in arms, but rather glitzy hand bags and accessories and food bags.
I was really pissed off, the people that had 'booked' these seats were obviously friendly with the attendants or whoever else had got there early enough to save them. So I moved the books further down the row and plonked myself and children right there. I was confronted at the start of the opening song by a gang of teenagers but refused to move.
Another thing that annoyed me was the environment that mothers and babys had to endure during those torturously long assembly days. We were usually relegated to mens changing rooms that had no sound, we had to tune in a radio! (second thoughts maby that was a blessing!)
I also thought it was a bad show that the end seats were never available to mothers and babys yet if we had to get up to take our children out, what a bloody commotion having to squeeze past all those ignorant people. All those tuts and sighs used to drive me mad.

I Know A Lot Of DUMB ELDERS
by minimus inin over 4 decades, i have gotten to know a number of people in the organization.i have met governing body members, very prominent bethelites, co's and do's.
i also have come to know countless elders.the majority of elders that i have known are not the brightest human beings on the planet.
most thought they knew it all.

In my old congregation there was this elder who was so sexist. I used to cringe during his talks when he'd try and raise a laugh about understanding women and "womens issues".
Of course he had his followers that would that would comply and yield an obligitory laugh whenever he cracked a sexist joke. They mainly consisted of wanna-be-elders and zombie-wives.
But for the most part he was very much out of order and came across like Bernard Manning at a convent!
