Why did he do it?

If you beleive in God and that he has a purpose for everything, then why did he allow this to happen:

(CNN) -- Two teenage lovers in North India have been hanged to death by their parents, who opposed their inter-caste relationship, The Times of India has reported.
The relationship was exposed Monday night when their parents, acting on a tip-off from locals, caught the lovers during a rendezvous on the outskirts of the village in Uttar Pradesh.
Family members angered at the affair, took the pair -- Vishal and Sonu -- to the roof of a house and hanged them.
The girl's parents and the boy's elder brother and sister-in-law were witnesses to the hanging, the Indian Express quoted District police chief B S Moriya as saying.
Moriya was reported as saying that the couple had been warned by their families that they would punished if they did not put a halt to their relationship.
Sonu was a Jat while Vishal was a Brahmin.
The entire village was opposed to the affair, the Indian Express stated, adding that no village members came forth to report the deaths.
A total of six people have been arrested, including four members of Sonu's family -- her father, mother and two brothers. Vishal's family have evaded arrest.
There are several versions of the incident being reported.
One version said a manhunt was launched after Sonu and Vishal eloped on Monday night and that they were found and then hanged by the crowd.
A separate report claimed that the couple decided to end their lives because their relationship was not and never would be tolerated by the village.

So did god really have a purpose here? Was he trying to show us something? Were those kids killed so god could prove a point?

I think the evidence points to God, if he exists, not giving a sh$% about us and what we do.

just wondering, how could anybody not want to come to the u.s. yes, i'm well aware i'm opening a post for flaming, and flaming is what i need to here!

j/k, but seriously, u.s.a. is the best country in the world.

I was born in Colombia South America, and now am an American Citizen. I have been to England and Norway, and thats it for my country visits. I totally agree that young people should be made to live in foreign countries for a short period of their lives. It's very mind opening. That's why they have foreign exchange student programs I suppose.

And I agree that the US social programs SUCK. Health care is awful, and so are any unemployment programs. I know that in Norway you will get paid while unndergoing training for a job is you are unemployed. And now, its not training to be a temp worker or mechanic or burger king worker, they train you in high tech fields, computer shtuff. Paid job training by the government, now thats cool.

USA is nice and all, especially if you are in the entertainment industry. But we are far too fundamentalist in our law-making. THe country is not at all open-minded when it comes to new science such as stem cell research and cloning. Like I said in a previous post, we brred amny cults and we have what is known as the bible belt, an area in the south that is fanatically religious.

I would stay in your respective countries if I were you, the US is pretty to visit especially Orlando Florida for going to Disney, but living here is frustrating when you have an idiot like Bush for president.

And yes, you hear on TV everyday how Bush is a moron. They have no qualms with making fun of im every hour on the hour.

yoga class........meditation

last night i went to my first meditation class, conducted by a nice young man, teaching a yoga-type meditation.

it is my first venture into meditating, and i thought i would share a couple of interesting points.

i was with an old friend, who also happens to be an ex dub, but only out about a year.

US cops arrest 6 yr old..

yup i bet the boy learnt a lesson alright............. a six-year-old boy from florida has been arrested for kicking his pregnant mother in the stomach.. the woman decided to call in the police after her son attacked her during an argument.. mattie ashley says she hopes it will serve as a learning experience for the boy, who suffers from hyperactivity disorder.. he has been suspended from kindergarten for kicking a pregnant teacher previously.. mrs ashley said she hoped the police involvement would scare the boy into realising what he did was wrong.. but police said they were not in the business of being used to scare children and refused to let her son go when mrs ashley said she was dropping the charges.. sheriff's deputy jennifer jazdzyk wrote in the arrest report: "i explained to mrs ashley that if she wanted a criminal investigation to take place that it would be followed through to the end, that we were not going to just scare the child with the presence of a deputy.".

the boy, who was not named, was released when state department of juvenile justice officials, who were contacted after his arrest, ordered deputies to release him.. .

An elder struggles

Are we occupying our minds, hearts and souls with seeing the WTBS fall? Are we trying to find eveything wrong with the WTBS?
What's the point? If we know they are wrong and we have left then how does this build us up as individuals? If we have so much passion or anger cant we redirect it to making a success of ourselves? Making a success of oneself in spite of our beginning is a much greater victory than focusing negative energy isn't it?

What's the point? The point is they are dominating and controlling others!! I think its amazingly selfish to leave the JW's and then not care anymore. It's like leaving a burning building and not caring at all about the ones still left in the building. The only concern is with saving one's own ass.

Your loved ones and friends are in a cult!!! You didn't just leave the book of the month club, you left an amazingly destructive cult, one that destroys lives and tears families and friends apart. To say 'Why focus on the negative?' is deceptive. It's not simply 'negative' it is evil. It's like saying 'Why so much hate to the Nazis? You are out of Germany now and living a happy life, why focus on the negative aspects of the Nazi party? Why not focus on yourself instead. I dont understand why there is so much hate towards them. Jesus said to turn the other cheek after all.'

You may be too naive to realize how destructive and evil the Society is. It is wrong and evil to take someone life with murder, and it is equally wrong to do so by mind control.

The anger we fell shouldnt be selfishly directed to us. We have saved ourselves already. We can help millions by helping topple the 'tower.

How Long Did the Transition Take?

i was wondering, for those of you who have left the organization, how long did the transition take?

i mean, how long after you left did you feel up in the air, in turmoil, lost, unsettled?

long long before you felt comfortable with the decision and basically happy with your life?

I trash JW literature on site, and when people leave little business cards titled: MAKE MORE MONEY..you can make an additional $5,000 a month! taped to ATM machines I throw those away too. I hate it when people try to scam other people.
