  to anybody who cares, i have an announcement to make.

  after reviewing all the great information on the internet and on this board, and with much praying and bible reading, i have made up my mind to stop studying.

  i have written a letter to the sister i have been studying with explaining why (cowardly, i know but that's kinda the way i am)i have packed up all the books i've been given (what to do with them?

  Wait a minute. What? Now I'm a devil worshipper? Jehovah's gonna kill me? I'm not against Our Creator, and the sacrifice Jesus made for us, means more to me than will ever know. I am only against an orginization who claim to be "chosen" and represent the "truth" When looking at only WTS publications & the scriptures anybody with a brain can see they are not.

  "Reasonable persons agree that the only fair method is to examine the evidence on both sides, both for and against a disputed theory.

  How many found the REAL truth from the internet?

  if it was'nt for the internet i would still be stuck in the endless cycle of drone like meeting attendance and field service.

  (technically i'm still in but not for long) i'm really glad that some ex-jws took the time to speak about the real truth.

  for the longest time i always thought that what i was taught was correct, i never even felt the need to question it or validate it with actual facts.

  I have been studying for a couple of years. Going to Sundays meetings sporadically and almost every week to the book study. But there was always this little doubt in the back of my mind. I'd say the turning point for me was when I "accidently" found this message board, and clicked on the "Silent Lambs" link. I'm still feeling a little sick, from reading their stories.

  Cult?

  If it can be demonstrated that Witnesses aren't a cult, does that mean they're not in any way bad? If the answer is no, why waste time asking questions about whether they are or aren't a cult?

  No, I only asked the questions because I was curious about their rationalization. They're always accusing us poor "worldly" people about how we rationalize our "worldly" ways.
