What Prince Doing these days?

and if he does, what do they call him?
"brother prince..you had a comment?".

He joined the JW cos it makes sensational news. If he became a Scientologist...then he wouldn't stand out from the other famous names. The thing is...it will make sensational news when he gets DF or falls out...i'll have my nose up to the screen to see what he has to say about the borg then....cos they don't make us sign confidentiality agreements when we get baptised...and wouldn't the testimony from a famous artist make great reading.
*wondering if he still shaves his eyebrows*
*wondering if he wears those pants to the meetings with no arse*
*wondering if he shows off when he sings kingdom melodies*
*wondering how much he donates to the kingdom hall fund*
*wondering if anyone is going to tell me to shut up now*

Forgotten/Unforgotten Friends
by kheli insince i am recently out of the "truth", i still find that i have a couple of people that i really miss.
i have managed to get past the stage of obsessing about whether or not certain people still think/care about me.. but, every now and then i wonder about my (ex)best friend.
she was like a sister to me.

I agree with Dutchy...the love is 'conditional'. The love certainly is there as an identifying mark...BUT...there is also a lack of love too...it is very unevenly spaced. Some will show love only to the strong..some will show love only to the poor...some will show love only to those they are related to...it is a hypocritcal love.
I know that if I went back...my friends (old JW friends) would welcome me with open arms...but secretly I know that they envy me and my life now. They too would love to sleep in on a Saturday morning...or curl up and watch telly on meeting nights...or just watch a movie without reprisal. I miss my friends...but I wouldnt give up my life now for their love...take me as I am or not at all I say.

awwwwww pamkw ... we should have worked in field service together cos I used to do that...I wasn't a very ambitious publisher...just 'me hour'...and that was every month...no more...no less...although sometimes I used to bump it up from 45 minutes to one hour lol...I used to cheat. I hated field service. I used to justify myself by telling my husband that I was doing other things of a spiritual nature...like typing up his theocratic ministry school schedule...I would dedicate hours to get it just right lol...got me out of field service.
Hey reckless...maybe the growth they talk about in their WT is a load of sh*t...because i've only had them call at my door once in the last three years...and they don't know me or my situation. Slack I tell ya. I'm just itching for them to call lol.

My story is to long to tell......
by zugzzwan ini am new to this forum but i have for the past several days been reading posts from people that for the first time in 26 years have pasts, memories and feelings like my self.
suffice to say that i too was born and raised in "the truth".
i have at one time or another been, a ms, a vacation pioneer, a regular pioneer, a disfellowship individual, a re-instated individual, publicly reproved, privately reproved and finally for the past 7 years a man who they don't even come on my property cause he's a nut who might shoot you and will at the very least call the police and have you arrested for trespassing individual.. unlike so many others though i find no personal desire to rant or rage against the machine.

hey there and welcome...and guess what? The elders think all of us are 'nuttas'...so you're not alone there...but who cares. You are free of all that now...and you can look forward to better days.
You said: if I'm wrong I won't burn in hell because like they teach I will just be asleep forever.
I thought exactly the same thing...and like many others...when I first left I was obsessed with dying and going down with this system because of not conforming. My views have changed now of course.
Good to see you and hope to see more of your comments.
Cheers

was there anything good?
by singsongboi ini sometimes ask myself this question - i think i was 'there' for nearly 40 years and wonder at the waste.. what good came from it?
.
did anyone really find some good in all of the things we did?
-
Beck_Melbourne
singsongboi...I had to think long and hard...and it was a struggle to come up with something that has made a positive impact on my life now.
I found one...I learnt how to be 'industrious' because my elder husband always lived in fear that we would be viewed as materialisitc...and so he thrived on having very little and being regarded as 'humble'. I learnt how to sew...(all those late nights sewing little dresses for my girls and cute little suits for my son for conventions)...I learnt how to cook...(all those Sunday's when we would host the visiting speaker and his wife/family for lunch)...I learnt how to do flower arrangements...(all those hours spent on preparing the flowers for the Special Talks or for memorial night)...and last but not least...I learnt how to act...(all those years faking I was happy).

Whats the dumbest thing you were counselled for?
by Beck_Melbourne ini was once counselled by the elders for watching 'knots landing'....it became widely known in the congregation that me and a few other sisters would rush home from field service to watch our favourite soapie.
if we missed it, we would ring each other up for an update...or...if we weren't near a tv we would ask someone to put the phone handset on the top of their tv so we could hear it...pathetic huh...but that was all the excitement we could scrounge up in our otherwise dull and uneventful lives.
one of the elder's wive's conscience got the better of her...and she confessed to her husband..lol.

Loved all the experiences....felt like crying for the sad ones...and laughed my head off with the funny ones...we've been thru a lot...but hey...we're here...we're better off!
The sad thing is...these so called 'loving shepherds' are STILL discouraging unsuspecting sheeplike ones...other youths growing up in the borg...or newly interested ones....or just the flock in general. Maybe their flock will decrease and ours will increase...here's hoping.
