  JW wife says she loves me more often NOW???? Should I test that?

  i was pm with a@g and have with others here in the one-in-one-out marriage situation, and have a question.

  time flies.....i have been considered apostate for at least two years now, and it seems my wife says she loves me all the time....almost makes me uncomfortable.

  i have changed, not her, and i realize that.

  Oompa,

  She might be saying "I love you" because she really does love you. Couple that with seeing self-destructive behavior, and she is probably scared shitless for your life. And add in a heavy dose of cult brain washing, and she is probably a mental zombie.

  I know that the religion was your biggest commonality, but you need to inventory your feelings for her. Do you still love her, or are you just experiencing reflection on the supposed good times? Or are you expecting her to change her beliefs to correlate with yours now? It may never happen. You need to figure out why you are not saying ILY to her as much as she is to you.

  Just a thought, from somebody that has been married and divorced three times. What the hell do I know?

  What should I do with all of these books?

  while growing up, my dad maintained a rather huge wts library.

  i liked the idea of being able to pick out one of those old books from the1940s or earlier and read what they were saying back then.

  well for the first time, in september of 2006 at the age of 40, i finally became a home-owner.

  I am the Faithful and Discreet Slave

  when i first attended the congregation of jehovahs witnesses i never even thought about whom or what was the faithful and discreet slave.

  i do not believe that this information is ever taught to the public directly.

  i think you have to be baptised or start attending the same meetings as those that are baptised.. anyway what made all of you adapt the teaching of the faithful and discreet slave (class or whatever)?

  i mean, no bookstudy, possibly less hours for regular pioneers and now the possibility of doing away with the co...sure sounds like a fade to me... are they hoping the r&f won't notice???.

  How do the elders know if you are truly repentent?

  the reason why i ask is because whenever u are df and u are trying to get reinstated they are always tellling u that u have to produce fruits befitting repentenace like attending the meetings,etc.

  they always make it seem that since they are gods spirit-directed org.

  that he will know whether or not if a person is repentent.

  i know this is an old topic, but there are many new ones onboard so here goes..... i went to the book study (it's been more than a year since i last had the pleasure)... revelation book chapter 39 paragraphs 1-13. when paragraph 13 finally comes around...... 13 does this mean that jehovahs witnesses are against all government?

  they obey the apostle pauls counsel: "let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities.

  " they realize that as long as the present system lasts, those "superior authorities" exist by gods permission for maintaining a measure of order in human society.
