  What is the education rate in JW?

  i have found some numbers like 4,5% educated, in jw there the average was about 39.3

  % in australia, in 1995. if i read it rigth :).

  as i'm getting really hungry right now reading hortensia's thread about going nowhere , i noticed people sharing food cooking recipes on it !

  so i thought i'd start a thread up asking for great cooking recipes !

  How about dessert?

  Here is the recipe for German Chocolate Cheescake that I modified from Kraft's recipe:

  JK's German Chocolate Cheesecake Prep Time: 30 min Total Time: 4 hr 20 min Makes: 14 servings

  Crust: 1 cup finely crushed Pecan Sandies cookies 1 cup sugar, divided 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted Filling: 3 pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened 1/4 cup flour 1 pkg. (4 oz.) BAKER'S GERMAN'S Sweet Chocolate, melted 2-1/2 tsp. vanilla, divided 3 eggs, divided Topping: DUNCAN HINES canned Coconut Pecan frosting

  PREHEAT oven to 350°F if using a silver 9-inch springform pan (or to 325°F if using a dark nonstick 9-inch springform pan). Mix pecan cookie crumbs, 2 Tbsp. of the sugar and 3 Tbsp. butter; press firmly onto bottom of pan. Bake 10 min. BEAT cream cheese, 1/2 cup of the sugar and the flour in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add melted chocolate and vanilla; mix well. Add the 3 eggs, 1 at a time, mixing on low speed after each addition just until blended. Pour over crust. BAKE 45 to 50 min. or until center is almost set. Run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim of pan. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. SPREAD frosting over top of cheesecake just before serving. Store leftover cheesecake in refrigerator.

  years ago while living in israel i ordered crisis of conscious as i had been on the old h20 site prior to coming to jwd.

  after reading it i met a young man from las angeles who was from a jw family.

  he had left, gone to college and was a volunteer at the baha'i center where i was also serving.
