  Boundaries

  it's amazing but since leaving the borg, i've learned to set proper boundaries.

  it's had a big impact on my personal happiness.

  this may sound stupid to some people, because 'worldly people' have and respect these boundaries natuarly.

  Boundaries were tough when I left the Borg. I had no idea what healthy boundaries were. I was told in counseling that if something hurt or upset you, there is a good chance that one had been violated.

  I had to establish mine by trial and error over time.

  How do I flirt, not acting desperate at the same?

  first i'll blame the fact that growing up as a witness, it was hard flirting with girls.

  most of my younger days were spent at congregation gatherings, and it was hard trying to go up and talk to the girls.

  both parents had to know about it, and it was quite a serious issue.

  how many of you were required to give up a certain career you had in order to become a jw or before you could be baptised?.

  help here in naming all the job positions and careers that dubs are not allowed to have and the scriptural reason for it.

  detail if possible.. can a jw be a mortician?.

  my nephew, recently was injured in a motorcycle accident.

  he is a baptised witness.

  he is facing surgery for a procedure to repair his back in at least two places where the spinal column is damaged.

  there would never be a good time to have this conversation.

  quite different from most people raised a witness, i have very few horror stories about my upbringing.

  my family was just a family, my mom and dad fought and argued, my siblings and i misbehaved and got in trouble.. .

  You did a great job of explaining how you feel to your parents. You cannot control if they listen or not.

  It will be interesting to see how they handle the situation if you are DF'ed.
