Rex. you need to remember that alliances over there are as fickle as high school girls on which boy they like. If it suits the current "jihad" they may very well kiss Saddam's smelly ass.
America can't operate on the assumption that he doesn't have nukes or for that matter that Bin Laden doesn't have them. You or I could probably buy nukes from the corrupt "former Soviet Union" if we had the money, with friendly customer service and free delivery and a warranty for cryin' out loud.
And as for Qadaffi, that was President Reagan who opened that can of whoop-ass. If Reagan was still in office yesterday, he would have simply pushed the button and the world would have a big crater.

React, Retaliate, and Respond Forcefully
by Bendrr infor far too many years we americans have paid our taxes and gone about our peaceful lives believing we lived in the best and safest country in the world.. september 11, 2001 claimed the title of the day that will live in infamy.
the attack on pearl harbor must now relinquish that title, as tuesday's attack was undeniably worse than that military attack on a naval base.
millions of people watched in horror as the second plane crashed into the world trade center tower on live television and thousands of innocent civilians-americans-died before a worldwide audience.. terrorist hijackers, some receiving their pilot training in america.

For far too many years we Americans have paid our taxes and gone about our peaceful lives believing we lived in the best and safest country in the world.
September 11, 2001 claimed the title of the day that will live in infamy. The attack on Pearl Harbor must now relinquish that title, as Tuesday's attack was undeniably worse than that military attack on a naval base. Millions of people watched in horror as the second plane crashed into the World Trade Center tower on live television and thousands of innocent civilians-Americans-died before a worldwide audience.
Terrorist hijackers, some receiving their pilot training in America. Across the world, Arabs celebrated. Some even celebrated right here in America.
Enough is enough.
America has sent our tax dollars overseas to the Middle East for years and years. Our tax dollars have benefited both Iraq and Iran. Our tax dollars quietly aided Afganistan in their struggle against the Soviets. Our tax dollars subsidize zero-interest loans for Arabs to open up businesses in America, while no American could even think of getting such a gift. Our tax dollars pay for these Arabs to attend schools we only wish we could send our own children to. Military aid, financial aid, revenues to OPEC, our money is a river of wealth to the Middle East.
Enough is enough.
It is time for our financial aid to the Middle East to stop. It is time to use our own oil reserves. It is time for our military forces over there to come home.
But before our military over there comes home, it is also time for one last stand. One final decisive assertion that America is still the most powerful nation on Earth and we will not stand for one single innocent American to die at the hands of foreign terrorists.
If they can't seem to tell us where to find Bin Laden, we will have to do it the hard way. Destroyers and carriers sail in. Airbases and infantry bases set up and if the locals have a problem, the complaint department is the machine gun emplacement right over there. Each and every terrorist camp location ever caught on satellite or by other intelligence gets hammered and then the ground forces shoot all survivors. Each and every location Bin Laden has ever called or does call home will be reduced to smoking craters in the ground. If he chooses the Hussein method-the coward's way out-by surrounding himself with innocents then there will be lots of dead civilians. If Afganistan wants to aid and abet terrorists then in the near future there will be a big parking lot on the map. Same goes for Iran and Iraq, please just give us a reason.
Bill Clinton is no longer President, so your asses will no longer be kissed. This time, if you fuck with America, your camel-fucking sand-ni**er asses are toast.

Fiveshadows, would you please give that tired NWO shit a rest?!
As for the nations that harbor terrorists. Bush said we would "make no distinction", the only halfway strong thing he said tonight. Fine, Mr. President, show it don't tell it. Ronald Reagan sent the bombers THEN went on TV. After that, things got pretty quiet. Clinton bombed an aspirin factory and gas prices have escalated alongside mid-east violence. Come on, Mr. Bush, show the balls Reagan had because that is the only thing they respect over there. Afganistan is harboring Bin Laden so bomb the camel-fuckers to kingdom come and send a few to Saddam Hussein for good measure.
It looks like for the first time in history a terrorist attack is going to nail a 5-digit death toll and they were Americans on American soil. There should be no second-guessing anywhere in the world about this. Bombs must fall and guns must blaze and blood must be shed. For many years America has tread far too lightly when provoked. We have sent a message that our foreign policy is just as liberal and lenient as our own criminal justice system.
The CIA knows where the terrorist camps are, the damn press can find Bin Laden for interviews anytime they want. It's time for eye-for-an-eye.
Nuke the camelfuckers!

"Directing" vs. "Allowing" ...
by Farkel inhere are just a few thoughts to discuss and to keep myself distracted for now.. there are only two organizations that routinely reward and bless major screw-ups:.
1) government agencies.
2) the watchtower society.

Farkel and all, I have never thought of that particular argument before. When you think about it, it is really stupid to visualize an army of evil spirits focusing on unbelievers instead of Jehovah's servants. To listen to the teachings of The Empire about Satan and The Demons one would logically envision faithful witness homes constantly bombarded with all manner of terrifying attacks in an effort to shake their faith and drive them away from Jehovah's Organization. After all, that would be "persecution" wouldn't it? Instead, only isolated tales reach us second hand from the fringe of The Empire and usually they are only urban legends.
The "demonic attacks" become reduced to unseen culprits of everyday inconveniences such as flat tires or the flu.
If you follow through with their perceptions of where demons "hang out", then our homes must be infested with them. Why I probably have at least twenty demons in my living room right now. And so do you. Some of you blatant apostates must have entire legions of demons clawing for breathing room in your dens of iniquity.
Demons must be the best houseguests you could have. The don't raid the fridge, don't bother the kids or pets, no phone bills, you can watch what you want on tv, and I've never had one drink my last beer. They seem to be pretty quiet and I've never noticed them using the lights or the water or heard a complaint about it being too hot or too cold. Never had 'em leave the door unlocked or a window open and none have ever bothered my stash of pharmaceuticals. Come to think of it, I really do think I live here alone.
never mind.

Did you ever have an experiance with Holy Spirit?
by Stealth ini have never felt the intervention of the holy spirit in my life.
maybe that is one of the reasons i never felt like a good christian.. i think someone can take any situation and say it was the holy spirit acting in their life if they want to believe bad enough.
i saw my mother do this many times.. anyone here had any experiences that they felt was the holy spirit acting in their lives?
-
Bendrr
Nothing at all.
No matter how bad things have gone at times for me, I can honestly tell you that during the worst of times there was no "intervention". Now some may smile at this and reply that God or the Holy Spirit work discretely and we may not always recognize the source. I don't buy into that. If God is going to help out a human, who he loves and gave his son's life for, he's damn well going to let them know somehow which side their bread is buttered on.

Do elders spill the beans? Yes. Sometimes I don't fault them a bit for it.
I remember when my family moved to Perry where the need was greater. (gag)
I remember my dad coming home from elders meetings and how he was so quiet and his head literally hung low. I mean it, he would trudge in with stooped shoulders and his head down and I knew just stay the hell out of the way.
He and my mom would have long talks late into the night, their little tv on obstensibly to drown out their distinctive voices in my young and still good ears. I don't really remember specific conversations, don't really care to either. But I do know that Mom was there for him and listened and yes sometimes she would offer her opinion. But I never heard Mom repeat anything, she wouldn't even say anything to me. Through those years, she was a faithful wife. She comforted him, she provided an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on and I know he shed many a tear on that shoulder.
Mom was and is the epitome of all that is good in elders' wives. They bear the private burden all elders carry and keep the confidentiality the elder himself finds it impossible to maintain when his heart is breaking. A true elder's wife carries twice the load of her husband. He knows and can try and handle the situation. She knows but must truly keep silent, except for comforting the weeping man in her arms.
I know there are plenty of "elderettes" who make all elders' wives look bad, but please instead give credit to the good ones.
(love you, mom)
