The book teaches us that the WTS really doesn't have anything new to teach, they're just re-hashing the old stuff under a new format.

Told my nonJW brother-in-law I'm done with the JW thing
by ithinkisee ini am slowly ramping up the wheels of apostacy and have begun telling a few people to help brace the fallout of me telling my wife.
i have many relatives that aren't jws - both on my side and on my wife's side.
i've already told my dad (who was never a jw - to which i am eternally grateful), and some nonjw business people that i am also friends with.. my wife's brother was never a jw.

Nobody among jehovah's witnesses is doing anything to reform their many problems;they're all... Waiting ...on Jehovah, that's why anybody with a real conscience will eventually leave the jw's,willing or unwillingly.

I'm not df'd or da'd,I just don't attend meetings anymore.I don't claim to be a jw and I've written a list of 30 questions that some elders have seen through my wife.Nobody's talked to me yet.
I have the same attitude as uncle Gary B.,if they come after me,I'll disfellowship them for teaching lies as "truth".

50 years from now, How will The Watchtower Change?
by VM44 indo you think that the watchtower organisation will still be in existence 50 years from now?.
if it is still around, will there still be thousands left of the annoited, partaking each year at the memorial?.
how will the watchtower have to change in the next half century?

Hey there!
I wish my wife was willing to look into the religion a little closer.I've told a lot and showed her many things from the WT that don't make sense but she's still clinging to a religion that doesn't make her happy. As far as having love among themselves, that is a real joke. The sister who is studying with your wife is a real hypocrite. She's getting hours, return visits and a bible study off your wife's back and she's trying to force to attend meetings to keep her study, basically black-mailing her.Since when do jw's tell people they'll stop the study if they don't attend meetings? Most of them are ready to study for 10 years with you as long as they can count their time.
As far as the elder stopping in,I'll bet it was in the morning service.Trying to look genuine but really looking for some easy time to fill in his morning,he was out anyways so why not stop in and make it look like he cares.
My wife asked me for a list of questions that I had so I wrote up 30 of them about 2 months ago. She's called a few elders from distant congregations who didn't give her any answers to them and one finally told that if I didn't have the truth in my heart it didn't matter what they gave as answers.Sounds like an easy cop-out to me.
I would recommend that you purchase the books Crisis of Conscience and In Search of Christian Freedom and read them both,if you haven't already done so.After reading those 2 books you will be convinced that the WTS is not the truth.

I am new here, former JW left years ago.
by out of the box ini want to discuss my experiences with the witnesses.
how it began: i was recruited during the time i was escaping from a violent husband to a shelter.
a witness came to my door as i was preparing to move during the day without him knowing (while he was at work).

You did good Richie,at least you got her thinking.I'll bet you 2 years from now she won't be pionneering and bitter that she's got no skills to advance herself. If you get another opportunity to talk to her just keep asking her those questions that will make her think.Even after you're done talking she'll still be rolling this stuff in her head and digesting it,give it some time and have fun.
