WT Bible is Perfect
by Satanus intoday, i relocated my computer and ancillary connectables to a table.
i found that the table surface was a might low for efficiently rolling my mouse.
i tried using the amplified bible under the mouse pad, but while it was the right hieght, it didn't have a large enough surface area.

THE DILEMMA FACING APOSTATES
by You Know inthe dilemma facing apostate jehovahs witnesses, or apostate dubs, as i have dubbed them, (no pun intended) is the very fact of their seeming success.
one of the great ironies of the apostate movement, that presumptuously boasts of "know the truth about the truth," is that apostates themselves are bound by the watchtower's own interpretive shortcomings, and hence are massively ignorant of jehovahs judicial decisions regarding his organization.
in that the presumption in operation is that if enough scandal and error can be brought to light regarding the governing body, the watchtower society's teachings, as well as individual jehovah's witnesses, then that somehow means that jehovah's witnesses have no connection with jehovah god.

JW protecting molesters on purpuse? Panorama!
by Dacke ina lot of people here are laughing.

"hopefully this will mean that in britain if an elder harasses you before a case comes to court, the elder can be arrested for perverting the course of justice.".

>The point is:...
The point is that there are strong arguments that your boreganization
was more (Still is) concerned with their own image towards this
so-called "evil" world, than with the children in their JW-community.
The point is also that you steadfastly refuse to put the rose-coloured
glasses off,and do not want to see the boreganization for what it really is. -

>How many are disfellowshipped from JW's because of adultery every year?
>...
>Which other organisation uphold such standards?
>And this is biblical standard we're talking about.
>But they wish to hide and protect CHILD MOLESTERS? Yeah, right.Aren't you shooting yourself in the foot with this argument?
There is simply no comparison:Adultery is between *consenting* adults.
Besides this world is not very much impressed with cases of adultery,
while child abuse is a completely different matter.
It's quite shameful,no doubt,to have to admit that they have the same problems
as the Catholics and other religious groups when it comes to child abuse.Like he said:
>BILL BOWEN (JEHOVAH'S WITNESS ELDER 1984-2000): They do not want people to know
>that they have this problem, and by covering it up they just hurt one person.
>By letting it out, then they hurt the image of the church. -

oral sex
by lilpumpkin inwould someone who was a jw all his life (24 years) know he's not suppose to be giving/receiving oral sex?
is it possible he might not have heard about this rule?
does it not apply if the person is disfellowshipped?

>A lot of people here are laughing. I think thats disgusting.
Where do you see them laughing? I think they are taking this matter seriously.
>...since she kept repeating her question like a silly cow, ignoring his answer,
>trying to make it look like he hadnt answered.Well, did he? How more beside the point can you get with an answer like:
"We don't go beyond what's written"?> "...one of the richest religious organisations in the world"what did THAT have to do
>with child abuse? (It indicates JW is a profit-driven institution that has financial
>reasons for protecting and hiding child abusers, without having to present any tiresome facts. >Clever, eh?)Well,if their precious reputation gets shot to hell by this,
don't you think there's a connection between them losing sales
because people start seeing this boreganization (NO spelling error!)
for what it *really* is?>If they had such a policy, surely they would destroy such information?
>They wouldnt make a database out of it, would they? They would because this boreganization is also extremely anally retentive
about facts and figures and numbers and totals and whatnot.Answer this question for me please:
Since JW's think of themselves as being *no part* of this "Evil World",
would you like to explain to me *why* the heck they are *so* concerned with their reputation
in this "Evil World"? It's going to be "destroyed" anyway! -

What was the JW breaking point 4 U?
by ashitaka inwe have a thread that asks why we became jw's, so i became curious as to why some of us have left.
what was the last straw for you?.

For me it was actually boredom that made me break with
the JW's.But at 22 and still living at home,I was too
afraid to say this openly.
So I went through the motions and pretented to be at
the meetings while I really was playing videogames at a
local arcade.Just before the meeting ended I sneaked back in
just in time to hear the closing song and prayer.
Of course this *had* to come out,so my family said if I
really was that disinterested I could as well stay away.
And I did,I have never attended one meeting again after
that.This happened 20 years ago...
