She picks and chooses when and which rules she wants to follow. One week she seems to think birthdays are okay and the next she's flip-flopped and says she doesn't celebrate. Go figure.

After her TMS last night I got out all the info I printed yesterday concerning innocent children being destroyed at armegeddon. Talking to her was like talking to the wall. I simply made a statment a couple of nights ago about the JW's teaching that parents are responsible for their minor children's salvation. She said they didn't teach that so I printed all this out. She read it and wanted to know what my point was. I told her my point was simply to show her that JW's do indeed teach this.
As we were talking she said I was talking about the second death. Now I'm bible stupid but I thought the second death was after armegeddon and after the 1000 year reign or something. I said I don't think this is the second death. This is when this system ends and the new one begins. She said that was the second death. I disagreed and said when armegeddon comes these innocent children are going to be destroyed with no hope of ressurection. Well she said I'm forgetting one thing....Jesus sacrifice. I was getting so flustered at this point. I said Jesus sacrifice isn't going to do these little ones a damn bit it good...they are toast. AM I WRONG IN THE WAY I THINK THE JW BELIEVE?
She then says all these scriptures are from the old testament. I said it didn't matter where they were from that that's what the JW's believe. She then says I'm confused and the I needed some bible lessons. I just gave up...took some pills and went to bed.

I'm afraid she's going to see the dates on the publications and tell me that's old light...they don't believe that anymore. What should I say?

Thanks WingCommander! I knew I was right. What's so strange to me is my rommate is 52 years old and has been studying with the JW's for 20 years or more (only been baptized about 2 years). Even though she is 52, she is in her own fantasy world when it comes to JW's. I really want some WT quotes on this...to prove to her this is actually what the JW's believe.

mine was an old fiat 127, i bought it 1983 and it was at least fifteen years old then!
the seats were vinyl and there were no rear seatbelts so i could send my girlfriend and her sister flying with each bend in the road!
it wouldn't go above 55mph and was rattling like rollercoaster when it finally got there.. the rear window fell out and it finally croaked in puff of blue/black smoke.

My hometown has about 7,000 people. The town I work in has about 3,000 people. I love small towns....I don't like the traffic in large cities.
